Other people's opinions, judgements, expectations, and reactions are not yours to take on.
Read that again.
You tell me if you have ever felt any of these:
- Have you been afraid of rocking the boat? Or like you were walking on eggshells and would do anything to keep the peace?
- Not speaking up because you are afraid of embarrassing someone else or what their reaction would be?
- Afraid of making others uncomfortable, so instead you took it on.
- Thought that "there must be something wrong with me" or "I must be the broken one" based on someone else's judgements and opinions
This week's podcast episode is for you then. Because it's time to let that sh*t go.
There is a difference between asking yourself, "What is my contribution?" and taking responsibility for your part and then taking everything on and enabling the other person to continue in their abusive patterns.
