[00:00:42] This week we have our guest Tiffany Owens.

[00:00:48] I will be telling you about her shortly, just as a reminder that we are doing the podcast every other week instead of weekly, [00:01:00] and I explained it was just because of my schedule and my energy level and technology. Pick one. I'm a little bit overwhelmed. And I'm trying to keep up, but I don't want to stop the podcast because I believe that what I create is valuable to you.

We are continuing with my exciting conversation with my new friend, Win Charles. She is a person with Cerebral Palsy, and she is an abuse survivor, And you heard some of her story last time. Today on Part 2,

She has been victorious over the abuse and learned to heal from some of the trauma that she has suffered. She's moved from Colorado here to Phoenix, and she's in a special disability community in an independent living condo. We are going to talk about resources for a person with a disability who is being abused. Share this episode with someone who needs it!

Her memoir I, Win is an amazing story of how she remembers her life through the years of having a condition called “CP”. [00:00:26] Now, here is Diana. Hello, and welcome back to the podcast. We are going, we are continuing with my exciting conversation with my new friend, Win.

[00:00:47] Charles. And you heard some of her story last time. We're going to hear the rest of the story, as they say, today on Part 2, and for a very [00:01:00] short review,

What would you do if you had a physical or mental disability and you're being abused? You have no resources or support. You're dependent on people to help you and instead they take advantage of you and abuse you. Domestic violence and abuse are horrible even when you don't have any kind of disability.

Just imagine being in a wheelchair or not being able to feed yourself, bathe yourself. Something as simple as being able to verbally express what your needs are, or you're visually or hearing impaired. It can be even a darker place for someone who's experiencing sexual, emotional, financial abuse. I have Wynne Charles on the show today who is going to share her story of having cerebral palsy and being abused by a woman and her advocacy work for the disability community.

I work very hard to bring you something that's worth listening to, so I hope that you're enjoying the study on the Book of Psalms. Now, I said I wasn't going to go in order, but

[00:01:21] I think I'm probably going to go in order. I've been reading through the psalms and I just keep reading until I find a psalm that, oh, I really like what this is saying. I want to talk about this one. So that would be Psalm 10 this week.

How does God feel about us when we mess up? Is He really angry with us? What should we do when we want to run away from God? Why should we confess our sins to God and humble ourselves? When Does God love David so much? These questions and more we will be discussing in our study in Psalm 6!

I know Part 1 was a little rough, but I think that we have to talk about these topics of porn addiction. And we need tools and we need help. We need hope. What can we do about this? How can we prevent it?

Kirsten D Samuel understands first-hand the shock and pain of discovering your spouse’s porn use. Through the healing process, she also received counseling related to suicidal depression, PTSD, and an anxiety disorder. As a coach, she has empowered hundreds of women to rediscover peace in the mess, heal their broken hearts, regain their confidence, and create a healthy path forward. Kirsten has been featured on the Focus on the Family Daily Broadcast, Chris Fabry Live on the Moody Radio Network, and many relationship and recovery podcasts. Get to Know Kelly! I’m a wife, mom, Bible teacher, speaker, author, occasional blogger, and podcaster with a unique story enriched by our four children, three of whom have special needs. My husband, Lee and I, raised them in the constantly challenging world of Air Force military life. Our story evolves into an unexpected journey of chronic illnesses, medical treatments and ongoing caregiving. I am intimately familiar with the ache of unanswered prayers and experienced in the anguish of wrestling with the Lord through the weariness of long waits.
