Heather Johnston is Founder and President of JH Israel and the U.S. Israel Education Association. Her 25-year involvement with the nation of Israel has afforded her a unique position to work dynamically inside the U.S.-Israel relationship as an educator and thought leader. Heather is an author and world-renowned speaker in biblical prophecy on the Jewish-Christian relationship and modern Israel. JH Israel supports Israel's National Leadership Center in the city of Ariel. Edgar Sandoval Sr. is the current President and CEO of World Vision U.S. Born in Los Angeles, Sandoval grew up in Central and South America, where he first witnessed poverty. Edgar worked minimum-wage jobs while studying English as a second language, later earning bachelor's degrees in industrial engineering and sociology from Rutgers University and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Edgar was recruited by General Electric and later by Procter & Gamble, where over a 20-year career, he made significant contributions to the corporation's growth and reputation.

Edgar joins us on the show to share his experience of landing in the U.S with $50 to his name in the midst of a recession and how he went from flipping burgers to becoming president and CEO of World Vision. He describes how the Lord was using every one of his previous experiences to prepare him for joining World Vision. Mike Timmis was born in Detroit, Michigan, where he has had a distinguished career as both an attorney and businessman. He earned his undergraduate degree from Wayne State University and has received honorary doctorates from the University of Detroit Mercy, and Ave Maria University. Mike serves as chairman of Prison Fellowship International, and is on the board of Alpha International. He and his wife, Nancy, minister to the poor in the Third World and have developed self-help projects in Africa, and Central and South America. They are also very active in addressing the educational needs of children in Detroit. Mike and his wife are in the Order of Malta.

Joni Eareckson Tada is an esteemed Christian stateswoman and respected global leader in disability advocacy. Mrs. Tada serves as CEO of Joni and Friends, a Christian organization that provides programs and services for thousands of special-needs families around the world. President Reagan appointed Mrs. Tada to the National Council on Disability and during her tenure, the ADA was signed into law. Joni served as an advisor to Condoleezza Rice on the Disability Advisory Committee to the U.S. State Department, and as Senior Associate for Disability Concerns for the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization. The Colson Center on Christian Worldview awarded Joni Tada its prestigious William Wilberforce Award, and she was also inducted into Indiana Wesleyan University's Society of World Changers. Joni and her husband Ken were married in 1982 and reside in Calabasas, California.

On the show this week Joni discusses how the accident that left her quadriplegic at the age of 17 completely transformed her path, and why she feels her experience brought her closer to God and inspired her to do His work. After a decade of working as a nightclub promoter, Scott decided to have a complete change of lifestyle and spent two years on a hospital ship off the coast of Liberia, where he saw the effects of dirty water on people's health. Upon returning to NYC in 2006, Scott turned his full attention to the global water crisis and the (then) 1.1 billion people living without access to clean water, He then established a small, core team, in a tiny Manhattan apartment, and created charity: water.

Heather Templeton Dill is president of the John Templeton Foundation. Before assuming this role in 2015, she served as executive liaison to the president under her father, the late Dr. Jack Templeton. Dill is the granddaughter of the late Sir John Templeton. In her tenure as president, Dill and the Foundation have awarded 1,334 grants and donations totaling more than $874 million. The John Templeton Foundation funds research and discovery across a range of subjects in the sciences, philosophy, and theology, from gratitude and hope to the psychology of purpose and positive neuroscience. Under her leadership, the Foundation plans to increase its grants and donations to approximately $313 million in 2021 and 2022.

Heather joins me today to discuss the vision and purpose of the John Templeton Foundation and what their aspiration of becoming a global catalyst for discoveries that contribute to human flourishing means in real terms.
