This one is for all the Hip-Hop fans and cinephiles out there with a thirst for 90s movies. In this episode, the 2013 song, U.O.E.N.O by Rocko, featuring the one and only Rick Ross takes on a new meaning. As you all will also come to find out, we have questions for Mr. Ross that need answers.
The 1997 film Cop Land starring Sylvester Stallone, Robert De Niro, Harvey Keitel, and an otherwise impressive cast, and all of the film's questionable glory is also on the agenda. Cop Land flew under the radar in terms of De Niro and Stallone movies, but make no mistake. Some of the best bad acting is put on display by De Niro in this movie, and we're here to praise him!
Rog and Dylan also chat Oscars and have a little fun with the winners while indulging in some controversy.
Pop open a cold one. Sip back and enjoy the show!

In this week's episode, black coffee is the drink of choice for the guys, who take listeners on a ride to Crazy Town before ending the show atop Controversy Mountain. This episode is all about the infamous Murdaugh family down in South Carolina and the countless documentaries on the family's body count. Roger and Dylan also talk about the 2007 remake of The Heartbreak Kid and all the hilarity from one of the final Ferrelly Brothers movies. Talking about this film and Ben Stiller reminded the guys of one of their favorite comedies of all-time, Tropic Thunder. Contrary to the recent backlash the PC peeps have made against Tropic Thunder, Roger offers his opinion on the film's controversy in a cultural summation that has recently gone viral on Instagram. So sip back and enjoy the show. It's gonna be a good one!

There are three Oscar noms that have generated praise in very different ways, which makes sense because these are three very different movies. In this episode, Dylan and Roger talk about Triangle of Sadness, Tár, and All Quiet on the Western Front. All three films are nominated for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay, or Best Adapted Screenplay (All Quiet on the Western Front). The guys sip on a go-to of theirs, the delicious Purple Haze by Abita Brewing Company. Pro tip: it's got the same alcohol % as Bud Light. So if you want something a little tastier than Bud Light to sip on for this episode, grab you a Purple Haze, sip back, and enjoy the show!

And the award for Best Abbreviation for a Movie Title goes to... Everything Everywhere All At Once! And it is also the only thing Rog and Dylan talk about in this episode of The Wrap Beers Podcast. After watching EEAAO a second time, Dylan was just as emotional as the first time he watched. Rog was just as unemotional as the first time, but this is expected because Dylan also reveals in this episode that Rog is "emotionally dead inside". EEAAO also features incredible, Oscar-worthy performances from leading actress Michelle Yeoh, supporting actress Ke Huy Quan, and supporting actor Stephanie Hsu, which the guys give much deserved praise in the later part of the episode. This episode also features treats from Del Boca Vista, Florida and Six Point Brewery's Hazy IPA to quench Rog and Dylan's thirst. And to wrap things up, The Wrap Beers Podcast gives you a loud, Dana Carvey-inspired BTS look at what happened moments before Rog and Dylan began recording this episode. So sip back and enjoy the show! This episode may be short, but there is no excuse to not smash at least one beer.

In this week's episode, Roger and Dylan found themselves inspired to watch a few films up for Oscar nominations to kickoff this year's Oscar season. To start off the episode, Rog and Dylan unveil the 2023 Oscar nominations for EVERY CATEGORY (even though they said they would not mention nominees from every category) as they give their real-time reactions to this year's nominees. Some of this year's nominees were met with controversy, which is to be expected every year. However, Dylan pulls back the curtain on some interesting information pertaining to one nominee in particular. The guys wrap up the episode with a quick, but poignant, review of the third episode of HBO's The Last of Us, an episode which could most definitely end up being the show's best episode of the season.

It's award season! To kickoff the show, Dylan unveils this year's SAG nominees, prompting he and Roger to engage in an impromptu live read and reaction to the list of nominees. The guys also dive into the winners and memorable speeches from this year's Golden Globes and share thoughts on Martin McDonagh's latest work of art, The Banshees of Inisherin, which took home a couple of Golden Globes. Prior to recording this pod, a collection of "winners" and "losers" assembled at the convenience store where the guys went to grab something to drink, and the experience was one we can all relate to, especially when in a rush. To wrap up the wild journey, Dylan and Rog review Aubrey Plaza's latest film, Emily The Criminal over a couple of nice cold Liquid Deaths. And yes, they do survive the episode.

Biggest perk of 2022? Being back in theaters. Audiences are back, packing playhouses on and off Broadway, and in this episode, you're going to hear about it! Dylan and Roger were fortunate to catch two of this year's biggest Broadway productions in David Mamet's American Buffalo and August Wilson's The Piano Lesson, TWICE! Both productions featured heavy handed casts performing at historic Broadway playhouses. Thanks to a birthday, the holidays, and generous matriarchal efforts, the guys found themselves as close to the stage as one could hope. This week's episode also falls on New Year's Eve. In honoring the holiday season the guys sum up the holiday shenanigans with a gift exchange. Finally, to wrap up what has been an amazing year filled with surprises, breakthroughs, and a full reopening of the arts in New York City, Dylan and Rog leave you with an inspiring story about the one and only Danny DeVito in this final episode of 2022.
