Today, I chat with Amanda Bridgeman: about writing novels, screenplays and the suspicion that if she can get all that stuff done while working another job, she might just not be human. We talk about how to juggle the work-life balance, and why you shouldn't be too hard on yourself.
Hope you enjoy it.
Also, if you're looking for more bookish content, I run a YouTube channel where I talk books: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCH-OpwqCBGxgQlsEv1CyZRw

We are back, and today we're talking to Gabriela Houston about her debut novel with Angry Robot Books, The Second Bell. This stunning story is based in Slavic folklore and mythology.
In today's episode, we talk about writing an updated image of strigas (from Polish folklore), the dark side of putting readers into boxes, and advice for new writers looking to start out.
Hope you enjoy it.

John P. Murphy is a Nebula finalist who has written several short stories, two novellas and, most recently his novel Red Noise with Angry Robot Publishing. The story is a blend of Kurosawa-like storytelling with a Deep Space Nine setting. It's a fantastic book, and if you enjoy what he has to say, I highly recommend you check out Red Noise.

This week's guest is Michael Pryor: an Australian author (the Laws of Magic and Quintaris series to name a couple) who also runs Aurealis: Australia's biggest science fiction/fantasy literary magazine. This was a great chat, and an amazing chance to speak to someone who has managed to be so heavily involved in both the writing and publishing side of the business. A fascinating conversation, and I hope you enjoy.

It's Halloween! To celebrate, I decided to do an entire Halloween episode where author R. K. Gold and I discuss scary movies. What makes them good? What makes them bad? What makes them so tremendously bad that they become comedy classics? This is what we attempt to figure out in the funniest podcast I have ever recorded. I hope you enjoy listening as much as we did recording.

Today's guest is Antoine Bandele, a writer and publisher with his own YouTube channel. He kinda does it all. And as per usual with this podcast, we kinda talk about it all. We discuss his new book, By Sea & Sky: An Esowon Story, and how he was about to not only create a fresh, unique fantasy, but also how he could create his own publishing house to tell his own stories.
