The Writing Desk with E.G.

This week, I talked with the absolutely wonderful author William David Ellis, whose book The Princess Who Forgot She Was Beautiful, sounds like a fascinating exploration of fantasy and sometimes forgotten values. (Even if we did get through the whole plot here, I am still excited to read it!)

Random Fact: Guess who is going to do research, now? Well, not me, because I have to finish doing research on Machiavelli first. But soon!

Episode 2 of The Black Thumb Society! It is officially murder here at the Scribe's House, and that means our society of mystery writers is definitely on the investigation. Everyone is keen to get to solving this mystery... except Graustark. Graustark doesn't seem at all pleased about this turn of events, but our narrator and main character, Marie, isn't going to let something like that stop her! Problems with her flat, however, might just do the trick.

Random Fact: I think I need to go refresh my mythology. Because the whole Baldur myth, all I remember is running around as Frigg, screaming "Don't kill my son!" in German. Good times.

Welcome to the Scribe's House, a place where writers can get together and talk about all of the problems that come with writing books. In particular, the Black Thumb Society, a collection of murder mystery writers, manages to cause many problems. Especially when they're faced with a body of their very own in the Scribe's House. Follow these four writers as they investigate the death of Thomas Rottery, which leads to intrigue, danger, and an unfortunate realisation that writing books isn't quite like the real thing.

Random Fact: It's weird, seeing stuff that I've done prior to 2020 appearing in 2020 as if that's when it happened. It's like... time travel!  #authorinterview #authortube #booktube

Random Fact: There was a whole five minute discussion about cats that I edited out... Because our cats are spoiled enough and don't need extra screem time?
