We caught up with Iona Bonamis, a proud first generation Chinese-Canadian, born and raised in Vancouver. Iona is currently a senior transportation planner at the City of Vancouver, and runs her own small business. She is running to be a OneCity candidate for City Council. Being a woman of colour and a mom to two young kids, Iona wants the City of Vancouver to be a sustainable, affordable, and inclusive place where everyone can call home for generations to come. That’s why she wants to help our City take bolder actions to mitigate climate change, build affordable housing and services for all, and create diverse, inclusive, and equitable communities.
