Travis Walton (born April 23 1957) is an American logger who claims to have been abducted by a UFO on November 5, 1975, while working with a logging crew in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in Arizona. Walton could not be found, but reappeared after five days of intensive searches. The Walton case received considerable mainstream publicity and remains one of the best-known instances of alleged alien abduction. UFO historian Jerome Clark writes that "Few abduction reports have generated as much controversy" as the Walton case. It is furthermore one of the very few alien abduction cases with corroborative eyewitnesses, and one of few abduction cases where the time allegedly spent in the custody of aliens plays a rather minor role in the overall account. UFO researchers Jenny Randles and Peter Houghe write that "Neither before or since has an abduction story" begun in the manner related by Walton and his coworkers. Furthermore, the Walton case is singular in that "the victim vanished for days on end with police squads out searching ... it is an atypical "Close Encounter: Fourth Kind" (CE4) ... which bucks the trend so much that it worried some investigators; others defend it staunchly." ASPE founder and president Janet Sailor has been interested in the paranormal since childhood, when she learned to NOT ask questions or postulate about anything which might pit creative thinking or science against religion. She discovered Isaac Asimov, H.G. Wells and Clifford Simak when she was about eight years old, much to the dismay of her family and the nun who taught her Catechism class. In high school, Sailor learned that the "colors" she had always seen around living things were called auras and that nobody else she knew saw them. By the time she was in college, she had devoured everything she could find about and by Edgar Cayce, Nostradamas and other psychic "prophets" and moved into studies of eastern religions, reincarnation, extrasensory perception, astral travel, dream analysis, astrology and UFOs. Although raising a family and running her businesses occupied most of her time during the next few decades, Sailor continued her research into the paranormal and looked forward to a time in her life when she could expand her involvement and contribute her knowledge to the public. Now in her mid-sixties (a truly remarkable decade of life, she insists!), Sailor is a career marketing professional who owns and operates Access Media, an All Things Graphic design, publishing and printing company, and Access Images, which publishes her photographic and art images in limited and open edition archival art prints, as well as on greeting cards, calendars, t-shirts, mouse pads and other specialty items. Though not yet ready to ditch her "day job," she is fully committed to her own interest in paranormal research and to offering an opportunity for others to share her enthusiasm through ASPE. - www.aspefiles.org

Dr. Alicia Stanton, the Chief Medical Officer of BodyLogicMD, talks to Gina Cloud of "Redefining W.O.M.A.N." about bioidentical hormones. She goes into detail about the differences between bioidentical and synthetic hormones. While bioidentical hormones are the same chemical structure and shape as the hormones the body makes, meaning they fit into all the receptors and do what they are supposed to do, synthetic hormones have a slight change in structure so they can be patented, which means they do not function the same as natural hormones. She also discusses why diet and sleep are central parts of keeping your hormones balanced. It is important to keep cortisol balanced because when it's not it can lead to other hormones being unbalanced such as estrogen and progesterone. Dr. Stanton covers other topics such as andropause, the different types of testing used to determine hormone imbalances, and about specific hormones such as estrogen and progesterone. The most important point she makes is that bioidentical hormone therapy, specifically BodyLogicMD physicians, are there to treat a person as a whole. In Western medicine we have gotten into the habit of treating symptoms instead of looking at what is the underlying cause of these symptoms. This can lead to the creation of more chronic symptoms simply by treating the original problem. It is important to be able to communicate with your physician about your problems and then incorporate a change of diet and fitness as well as medicines to solve the issue. - www.BodyLogicMD.com

Author of Once Upon A Time: Retribution - is an exciting new Sci-Fi novel from Kansas writer Jack Lawrence, set before earth's last Ice Age, in our own solar system, between major planetary wars. In it, Siri, a battle-hardened combat veteran, retired from the 30-year Karta'n War, sets out with a partner to build a resort and spa on the planet of Agridev, where they face and overcome numerous challenging construction problems. One day, on Siri's way home for a much-needed rest, his space cruiser is attacked by a Karta'n ship captained by an old enemy of his, and Siri is captured. A spy covertly assigned to watch the Karta'n after the last war rescues him. Siri rejoins his old military outfit, which goes after the Karta'n force in what turns into a fresh space war that could endanger the entire solar system. After Siri's forces appear to be on the verge of victory, the Karta'n unveil a plot that threatens Siri's home planet of Axia. Colorado Springs ophthalmological assistant Theresa Herbert declares, "What I liked about ONCE UPON A TIME was how it kept hold of my attention. It was a very easy read and took me to another very interesting place for a while. I am not much of a sci-fi reader, but I enjoyed this one very much." Everett WA realtor Patricia Strand calls it, "Fascinating, intriguing and believable science fiction." Wichita art student Kaitlin Sewell, praises both its "heroic feel" and "the sparkling humor interspersed between the dramatic plot elements." Lawrence has always been a physics, astronomy and sci-fi buff. When he was a boy and his friends were all collecting baseball cards, he was reading Newton's Principia and learning about principles of motion and gravity. Kansas writer Jack Lawrence grew up in San Diego, spent two years in the Marine Corps and studied quantum physics at Butler County Community College. He earned an Airframe and Powerplant rating and worked in the aviation field for several years, five of which he spent as a service department inspector at Learjet. Lawrence now runs his own construction and remodeling business. - www.amazon.com
