Do you need a custom theme for your WordPress website? 💻❓

Short answer is NO. 👎

Why? 🤔

Because there are website builders out there like:

Elementor or

Divi 🛠️✨

That can offer the same design results as a custom theme for a fraction of the price. 💰👍

Are they beginner friendly and easy to use? 🌱🤷‍♂️

Yes and no.

You still need a professional to use these tools and design your website for you. 🎨👨‍💻

But then you are not tied up to any agency for the maintenance of your website or if you need to add a new page. 🔗🆓

Going into 2024, a responsibility of us as professionals is to give our clients the best experience ever without thinking of how I will make the most money out of them AND keep them hostages with a maintenance plan forever. 💼🌟

Unless you are a HUGE company (which in this case you might need a fully custom website) you do not need a WordPress website with a custom theme. 🏢🚫

- What are her pain points and fears? 😟🚨

- Where does she shop (clothes, jewellery, shows, beauty, home etc)? 🛍️👗

- What are her favourite brands? 🏷️❤️

- What applications does she use on her phone daily? 📱👆

- What are her favourite social media (from most to least favourite) 📲💬

- How long does she spend there? ⏰🤳

- Does she read any magazines or blogs? Which ones? 📰📖

- Does she watch TV, YouTube or listen to podcasts? Which ones? 📺🎧

- What are the most popular keywords/searches she usually performs on Google? 🔍🌐

- If she ever wanted your services, what would they search on Google to find information and services? 🤔🔎

- How would she decide for which professional to choose for services? 📈🔄

Go deeper if you can.

Be detailed.

This will make or break your business. 🛠️💥

And yes, you can create more than one avatar (up to 5 is very common practice).

But your marketing can never be generic, you always need to talk to one of them, look them in their eyes and make them feel you are in their mind. 👁️‍🗨️🗨️

The exact definition is, in my opinion, different than people think.

Traditionally when people talk about Search Engine Optimization they mean anything content on a website or a landing page.

But nowadays the term has expanded to each and all social media platforms, since each one offers a very sophisticated search functionality. 🌐🔍

What do I mean?

If you want your profile, fan page, and group to be found through search on Facebook, you need to optimize your profiles, use the right keywords, the ones that you want to be found for. 🔑📲

Same applies for Instagram, where crafting the right bio is an art and can make or break your “searchability” in the platform. 🖼️🎨

Youtube? Have you optimized your profile correctly? 📹✅

What about LinkedIn? Have you turned the Creator Mode on? Have you optimized your headline, your about section, and the hashtags/topics that you want to be found for? 💼🔧

What about each and every post you are publishing on each and every platform? 📝🔄

Do you add all the keywords in your captions? Do you use the alt tags on your images? What about the hashtags? What about your title on platforms like YouTube and Facebook? (yes, you can enter a video title on Facebook). 🎥🏷️

Yes, SEO is about optimizing your website and each landing page with the correct keywords, the alt tags, your images to be found in a Google Photos search. 🌍📸
