און רעדענסארטען (Yidishe Shprikhverter un Redensartn), by Ignats
Bernshteyn, originally published in Warsaw in 1908, likely the
largest collection of Yiddish proverbs ever assembled.
Dovid Braun is the Academic Director of the intensive
U. Weinreich Summer Program in Yiddish Language, Literature and
Culture of the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research.
