In this episode Dan sits down with Chandos Green, a disability & mental health advocate. When Chandy was 3 years old he was diagnosed with a brain tumour, over 20 years later and three brain surgeries, Chandy now works with organisations to help understand that despite a diagnosis you can work towards anything and live beyond a medical condition. Chandy also talks about his experiences with OCD during a worldwide pandemic and his experience in education whilst living with a disability and anxiety. This is a special episode of the You, Me & Anxiety podcast. I was asked along to an event to raise money for Mind called Crafts and Laughs (£3000 was raised, amazing!). I set up the podcast equipment and ended up sitting down with two great guests.First up was Kevin Braddock, a writer-editor who has worked for GQ, Esquire and The Guardian. He set up an independent publishing group called Torchlight System after suffering a Major Depressive Episode in Berlin back in 2014. We discuss how Kevin used this difficult period to launch Torchlight System and general mental health chit-chat.Second we had Melanie Gow, author, TEDx talker and speaker. She discusses her concept of 'Mind Goblins', impact of social media and her distain for emails.
