In this discussion with Jahan we touch on a number of important factors for both students and young lawyers to consider, particularly in their approach to thought leaders or senior lawyers. As lawyers we are trained to be lateral thinkers, however, if we were to reverse engineer goals it could be beneficial in ultimately achieving the desired outcome.

Additionally, the importance of young lawyers not to compare themselves to their senior counterparts because you can't do a task as quick or as well as them. This is because in law practical experience will far outweigh the academic components of learning and understanding the law. It is therefore beneficial for young lawyers to understand that YOU are not bad lawyers, the other person simply just has more experience then you and with time you will improve as well. SO DON'T BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF.
