You have to decide whether you want to live a Christlike life or live the life the world offers. You’re being recruited by the world 24/7 through social media. Jesus Christ’s spiritual life during His earthly ministry is the template He left for us to live the Christlike life. “For you have been called for this purpose because Jesus Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps” (1 Pet 2:21). The power of Christ is the template. “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls” (Matt 11:29). This is an amazing promise from the Lord. Zugos is the Greek word for yoke. The yoke refers to using God’s grace provisions by means of the mentorship of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit uses the template to cut you into the Christlike life as you acquire the mindset of Christ by learning His Word. The zugos is illuminating and enabling. “I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength” (Phil 4:13). This is the power of Christ.
