Hey y'all.
Today we're talking about something nobody likes to discuss: Haters. They're everywhere and in abundance, especially when you're doing what you need to do and minding your business. So today's episode is dedicated to those that count you out, challenge you, and want you to show up less than what you are meant to be. We don't listen to them, FYI. As a Black content creator, I am constantly bombarded with love from my tribe, which makes dealing with people who want to shine a not-so-beautiful light on you a little more bearable.
Haters are going to come with the territory, especially as you step into what it is you are meant to do and become. However, no worries. You can still shine and win. Check out the episode and let me know what you think.

May 14, 2021 3 Things To Consider Before Getting Your Master's Degree + Congrats To All The 2020 / 2021 Graduates!
In December 2020, I had the honor and distinction of finally graduating with my master’s degree from LIM College in New York City. My program lasted a year and a half. And a lot changed in that short period because of the pandemic, along with life changes and stress. However, I am consistently asked if getting a Master’s is something that you even should consider, and if so, what are some steps you should take to achieve your goals. I want to first preface this by saying that nobody can decide for you when it comes to your education. My mother and father instilled the values of education in me as a child. I learned later on that I suffered from extreme anxiety and stress, especially when it came to tests and tight deadlines with multiple courses.
When I graduated from Howard University, I wanted to make sure that going back to school was the decision that I wanted for myself, not a decision I made for somebody else. That being said, I waited, and I’m so thankful that I did because it was ultimately the best experience for me. With my master’s in hand, I am eyeing additional educational opportunities, whether that is an MBA program or going and pursuing my Ph.D. However, if you are considering returning to school or possibly going back for your master’s or higher education during this time, there are a few things that I think you can consider.

November 10, 2020 Birkin Bags, The Closing of Cushnie, And A Very Ghetto American Election
On this week's episode of the podcast, we talk all about the famous black female luxury design brand that has closed its doors because of Covid-19, the phenomena around celebrities and the access to Birkin bags and, of course, the US election which not only brought out a record number of voters but really exposed how Black women are the backbone of democracy in this country.
Of course, I'm only sharing my personal political opinions in this episode, but I always urge you to do your own research and to find your truth and what works for you. What I will say is that it is important to be active even in your local community and local politics, and not leave the onus of survival on the backs of Black and brown people to carry an election.
When it comes to Birkin bags, there is still a level of exclusiveness that is parallel to none. Make no mistake, just because you see more celebrities popping up with a bag doesn't mean that it's any easier to get. And of course, we have to analyze what COVID-19 and financial barriers really offer or don't offer Black designers let alone Black women designers. The number is staggeringly low for representation for Black female designers in the industry. And despite more opportunities that have recently surfaced because of racial discussions and a fashion reckoning of sorts, there is still a lot of work to be done. Cushnie is just one of many casualties of this phenomenon.
