Tony Romo: The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current CBS color analyst was arrested last Thursday on suspicion of driving while under the influence. Could this put his CBS contract in jeopardy?

* San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was injured in a July 14th accident. However, the reporting did not come out until July 26th? ESPN, which is now owned by NFL (10%) apparently sat on the story.
* Chiefs O-coordinator Eric Bieniemy’s wife, Mia, was allegedly shot by their son, Elijah.
* Commanders TE coach Ben Steele was fired after being arrested for DWI.
* Former NFL executive and current University of North Carolina football general manager, Michael Lombardi, was suspended by the university.

RIP:
Robert Sebastianelli: The husband of Brian’s wife’s boss, Tracey, died on Friday, July 24.
Robert was a detective with the Monroe County Office of the District Attorney since 2019 after serving more than 25 years as a Trooper with the Pennsylvania State Police.
Rob spent two and a half years assigned to the patrol division of Troop N, Swiftwater Station (now the Stroudsburg Station) before being transferred to the Criminal Investigations Unit, also at Swiftwater.
As a criminal investigator Rob investigated cases including homicides, violent crimes, sexual assaults, death investigations, and burglaries. He remained at the Swiftwater/Stroudsburg station as a criminal investigator until his retirement in 2018.
He was an expert witness in major case investigations in the Monroe County Court of Common Pleas.
In addition to his wife Tracey, Rob is survived by two sons, Michael and Robert, and a daughter, Anna.
What We’re Watching:
Gary: Gary recently watched Disclosure Day, an alien-related film. “The Westies,” about Irish and Italian gangs in 1980s New York, and Hulu’s crime drama, “Furious.”
Brian: Summertime movie Dirty Dancing (1987) as well as Jason Miller’s That Championship Season (1982). The movie stars Martin Sheen, Paul Sorvino, and Robert Mitchum. The West Scranton Marching Band is also featured, as are some notable Scranton landmarks such as Lackawanna Station, Casey Inn, and the Bank Towers Building.
Before We Go:
Golf: The 11th annual Chris Lewis Memorial Golf Tournament is this Saturday, August 1st. This year’s team includes John Radzikowski, Robert L. Heim Jr. and Brian’s son, Joseph, who will be golfing for the first time in two years. This year’s team seems ready!
Sweet Caroline: Gary and family will visit North Carolina to celebrate his and his brother-in-law’s 50th birthdays. Or will they???
