Cold Open Question of the Week: Would you rather be able to see 10 minutes into the future, or 150 years into the future?
"I skate to where the puck is going, not where it has been."
- Wayne Gretzky, hockey player
Tonight we welcome Brian’s friend Keith Danielowski. Keith and Brian coached together for numerous baseball teams. Keith is also the only hockey expert Brian knows, so tonight we will be spending time discussing Team USA’s men’s and women’s hockey teams’ gold medal performances from this past week at the Milan Cortina Olympic Games, but also what goes on behind the scenes in becoming some of the greatest hockey players in the world. We may also drop a Seinfield reference and talk like the Jerky Boys at some point too!

Dress to Impress: Former L.A. Lakers coach Pat Riley thinks coaches should get back into shirts and ties and look like leaders again. He believes leaders must project a professional, commanding image, often noting, “I think an audience wants to see somebody on the sideline who looks like a leader,” Riley said.
Civil War: Brian was blown away to find out some veterans of the American Civil War were still alive into the 1950s.
* Albert Henry Woolson (1850–1956) was the last undisputed surviving veteran of the American Civil War. A drummer boy in the Union Army's 1st Minnesota Heavy Artillery Regiment, he died on August 2, 1956, in Duluth, Minnesota, at age 106, marking the end of living memory of the Civil War, according to the Minnesota Historical Society.
* On December 19, 1959, Walter Washington Williams (sometimes referred to as Walter G. Williams), reputed near the time of his death to be the last surviving veteran of the Confederate States Army, died in Houston, Texas. He was reportedly 116 years of age.
