In this week's episode I discuss the first book of St. Augustine's great work titled On The Trinity. As in his day, there is still much heresy being spread about the Trinity. His work helps explain it in a deeper way and counter heresies that are still around today.

Angels watch over little ones and they have direct access to God. Jesus describes a shepherd who lost one sheep, and leaves the other 99 to find the lost.

It is election season, and this is the time of year we get all of that annoying political propoganda. One I received over the past week stated that religious liberty should be ended, but I disagree. In this week's show I discuss the formation of the Baptist movement and how they affected the cause of religious liberty in the United States.

Jesus tells the disciples that it is better to cut off your hand or pluck out your eye to sin. Jesus isn't telling us to mame ourselves, but he is underscoring the severity of sin. We must remove obstacles to have a fruitful relationship with Christ.

Anyone who causes a child to sin or lose faith is subject to horrible punishment.

Jesus tells the disciples that they should become like children. We must remain humble and sincere like a child, and not be childish.

Peter is confronted by the collectors of the temple tax. They asked if Jesus pays the tax. Peter asnwers in the affirmative, and upon arriving home Jesus asks Peter whom kings take their toll from.
