Jesus says he will repay everyone for what he has done, and that standing will not taste death until they see him in his kingdom.

Jesus gives a description about what true discipleship is. Are we willing to give up everything for Jesus if needed?

In this week's episode I discuss the meaning of mystery and sacrament in sacred scripture. God wants us to be in relationship with him, and at times will uses physical objects and our senses to do so. He also facilitates this through the priesthood as we see in many Old Testament examples.

Jesus tells the diciples that he must go to Jerusalem to die and and that he will rise on the third day. Peter objects, and Jesus rebukes him.

Jesus gives Peter the keys to the kingdom of Heaven. This is a symbol of authority and his office of chief of the Apostles is meant to endure.

Jesus changes the name of Simon to Peter. In Greek it means Petros, or rock in english. Christ will build his church on the rock of Peter and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.

Jesus blesses Peter because of his profession of faith.

Peter days that Jesus is the Son of God.

Keep your eyes on Jesus. Jesus promises to be with us until the end of the age and that hell would not prevail against his church. Jesus is still in charge.

Jesus takes takes his disciples to a Gentile region known as Caesarea Phillipi. It is alto the shrine of the god Pan. He asks them "Who they say the Son of Man is? Then he turns to them and asks :Who do you say I am."
