Jesus predicts his passion a second time. The disciples are deeply grieved. They didn't understand the signifignce untile later on. Likewise, we shouldn't despair when we are slow to understand something about Jesus.

Jesus rebukes the disciples' lack of faith. He heals the epileptic boy. With God all things are possible.

After the transfiguration, Jesus and the dsiciples come to a crowd. There a man kneels before Jesus and pleas for the healing of his epileptic son.

Jesus tells the disciples to not say a word about the transfiguration until after the resurrection. They realize that John the Baptist is the forerunner foretold in Malachi, and comes in the spirit of Elijah.l

After the transfurguration the disciples are prostrate. Jesus tells them to rise and have no fear.
