demons are infiltrating the music industry and we are definitely eff'd
you don't have to be a mars volta fan to enjoy the spooky mystery surrounding their "the bedlam in goliath" album released in 2009. needless to say, the progressive rock music group hailing from el paso, texas, was delving into some shady dealings during production of the record, using a haunted ouija board whose cryptic responses inspired much of their songwriting. before long, band members were experiencing paranormal phenomena, chronic bad luck, and evil apparitions. enjoy this zoomed-in piece about progressive artwork turned demonic possession.
PLUS: don't miss a teabag segment all about avril lavigne – that's right, the canadian teen pop sensation that supposedly died several years ago and was replaced with a doppelgänger! did the real avril lavigne die? listen and decide!
gay for pay? jk but srsly... podcasting ain't cheap and we appreciate your support: patreon.com/theoryqueery
theory queery is an independent podcast recorded and produced by ethan and ryan, two longtime pals who proudly identify with the lgbtq+ community. gay men hailing from small, rural towns in montana, ethan and ryan's journeys to queer podcasting started with their meeting in college, supporting each other in the coming out process, and eventually embracing and thriving in the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, et. al. community.
both guys have identified two mutual joys: (1) a fascination with conspiracy theories both sensible and outrageous, and (2) a tendency to slip into catty discourse while discussing virtually anything. their dream for this podcast is primarily to entertain, secondarily to inform, but above all, to increase visibility of the queer community by providing entertaining content that, while not inherently gay, is delivered by proud, outspoken members of the lgbt + family.
