This Christian walk is often not easy. God will ask us to make tough decisions and step out of our comfort zones for his honor and glory. But if we consider how we got here in the first place, perhaps we will realize that the things to which God calls us are not as difficult as we might think.
You might not be well-known in this world, but that does not matter. What matters is whether you are well-known in the heavens. What matters is whether you are well-known to our Father. What matters is that He knows you.

Life can be a lot of work, and so can our Christian walk. Both can be overwhelming when we think of the totality of everything that awaits us and everything we have to accomplish. But like a farmer plowing his field, let us focus on the work we have to complete today. And when it does not go as well as we hoped, let us keep our hands on the plow and continue our work.

There are some fundamentals that any prosperous church body will need. There is much instruction in new testament scripture on how we are to serve and be served in our corporate bodies. Today's challenge is to examine whether we are working and moving as God would have us do for the advancement of the church and the Church.

Some of us will stray for one reason or another, only to return to the Lord and the Church in time. When our brothers and sisters go through this process, let us welcome them with the open arms of the Father who longs for their return. In fact, let us pray even today for their return to be soon. If you know someone who seems to have fallen away, call them out by name and ask that God would draw them back to himself and to us.

Influence and distraction from today's world can be one of the greatest barriers to children and adolescents getting close to God. But if we take a moment to think about it, perhaps this condition knows no age.

With the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020 right around the corner, let us consider what God has done in our lives to date and look expectantly at what He has ahead of us.

The good shepherd never stops tending his sheep. Even before we know we will be his, He is working things out for our good. He knows we will be coming to him, and He has prepared the way. Let us remember that God does not cease in his work for his children.

Let us remind ourselves of a critical fundamental truth. Even though we are to be in constant fellowship with God, we also are to give him dedicated time of devotion. Let us ask God to help us strike the prayer balance as a necessary spiritual discipline.

Life can get really complicated, but our faith doesn't have to be. When you find yourself distracted by and lost in the hustle and bustle of this world, just go back to God's simple truths and confess his promises in faith.
