In an article this week in Transport Topics, the state of Texas has become a haven for automous semi truck manufacturers. The article mentioned that autonomous trucks have a human operator in the moving vehicle. It also said "In the not-too-distant future, that will no longer be the case."

Meanwhile in a different article that is fighting for all semi trucks to have a human operator, a group of 55 businesses signed a letter or position that opposes Californias attempt to keep truckers in the cab. Read below

"In April, more than 55 business organizations and companies interested in AV trucks signed a letter for the record opposing AB 316, with a roll of co-signers that include Institute for Safer Trucking, CalChamber, California Small Business Association, US Xpress (CCJ Top 250, No. 19), California Manufacturers & Technology Association, California Hispanic Chamber, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, and state-based AV companies."
