They Call Me Coach

Coach Jackson has had a tremendous amount of success as a player at PCO. In the coaching ranks, Coach Jackson has been at Mount Saint Mary’s, Piedmont, and now PCO. His first two stops were highly successful and so now, Coach Jackson will return home to try and continue the success of tradition rich legacy of that program. Stay tuned because we end up discussing a PCO all time starting 5 as well.

Coach Qualls has been coaching and coaching at a very high level for a long time. He spent most of his career pacing the sidelines on the basketball court. Now, you can find him coaching third base on the softball field. Regardless of what sport he is coaching there’s one thing that remains a constant. His kids are going to be well coached. Listen as Coach Qualls walks us through his coaching journey and explains what it means to him to care.

On the final week of Coaches Clinic Conversations, we catch with up some buddies at Byng High School. One who is gaining traction building a golf program despite the lack of facilities. The other who has turned a program into a perennial powerhouse. Then we move on to talking to a Coach who does it all. Volleyball, Girls Basketball, among other things. We get this episode started with Coach Trey Palacol, followed by State champion Head Coaches Kami Beller and Tylor Lampkin of Washington, and we end our conversation talking to Girls Cross Country State Champion Coach Jason Schroeder of Pauls Valley. At Coaches Clinic we had the great opportunity to conduct live interviews on sight. In this episode, we will hear about how Coach Gentry of the Tecumseh Lady Savages runs his program and how that evolves year to year. Then we moved on to talk to Coach Kayla Denton of the Idabel Lady Warriors on how they used motivation to overcome defeat for the taste of victory. To wrap everything up, we speak to the Associate Director of the OSSAA , Brian Lester on how he was able to step away from coaching and take the leap to work for the OSSAA.
