Isn't it interesting that you hear a phrase that you've not heard before and then you hear it, see it and notice it everywhere! That is an interesting part of the brain called the Reticular Activating System (RAS) in action - a whole other podcast episode right there. 

Todays subject though is about Self Compassion. One of those phrases that I hadn't heard much, then suddenly, boom, its everywhere. I wanted to understand it more and encourage you too also.

How many times do we hear people say things like "I am not racist but...." and then go on and say the most racist thing ever! Or "I am not having a go, but...." and then literally rip strips off you.

Ladies and gents, in my world, this is not acceptable! We have all done it in someway shape or form, I believe, that life is for learning and improving. Owning who we are and who we want to become and our journey there. 

I challenge you all to get involved in this discussion and raise awareness, challenge the prefix statements and enable others to learn and grow together. If we are complicit, we are allowing this to happen, we are in agreement, in pact with what is being said...our words hit, they land, they hurt, they trigger!

Who knew that kids of today would be so focused on manifesting or as they call it 'scripting'. 

A term my daughter uses and asked me about increasingly over the last 12 months, and who now takes great pride in sharing with me whats coming to fruition. Isn't that interesting!   

The power of the mind? The power of universal law? The power of law of attraction? Whatever you think or feel, the power is in you to focus and attract, focus and create and creation is part of manifestation.   

A brilliant article in Vox.com (https://www.vox.com/the-goods/21524975/manifesting-does-it-really-work-meme) talks about this and i remember reading it last year and smiling as it had been my reality and is my reality when i choose to focus my time and energy on manifesting things, experiences, feelings - it tends to show up!  

One thing we can all recall if someone we know who only ever focuses on negative shit, and look what happens all the time to them, around them, because them....yes....more shit!   

Be mindful what you think of and wish for, right?

How many 'things' do you find yourself re-doing and it takes up so much brain power each time you do. Simple tasks, admin tasks, basic functions but each time you do it, you do it from afresh each time. 

I challenge you to look across the aspects of your business and look at what is systemised, what isn't and what are the priorities to get systemised on? 

Think about the return on the investment...consistent training, ongoing review against benchmarks & standards set, consistent outputs, higher service levels, better client retention, but also consider the personal aspects...less frustration, less headaches, less repeat, repeat, repeat and more LEVERAGE! 

Wouldn't that be nice? Know what? You too can have that with a little upfront effort, a little short term pain for long term gain. 

This is what we do at Sales Academy, we get results, FACT! 

OMG...how destructive is this emotion, this behaviour, this choice. 

From personal experience, this fucker of an emotion has held me back, tripped me up and let me to more destructive behaviours than i care to repeat, but the day I chose to say no more, was the day I decided to conquer my unconscious obsession with this emotion and the eradicate the damage I was doing to me, my life, my business & my loved ones. 

Guilt and shame can all blend into one at times, by I have made decisions in the past, tough ones that I have felt guilty of, yet its been my choice to learn how to deal with that guilt, learn from it and process it better, freeing me to make better decisions...but for years I chose different, i chose denial, i chose to carry it round yet never acknowledge it was there, eating away at the good in me and the good in my life. 

No more. Guilt...you fucker!
