  • #9 - In a funk

    L after L.

Since my return from Belize, I've been dealing with a hideous upper body heat rash, a pulled tendon in my left wrist, and the death of my 2015 MacBook Pro. Although these are seldom occurrences, melancholy moments are always temporary.

While drafting this episode description, I decided to extend my Etsy promo to the rest of you for listening!

  • #8 - Texts Go Green

Drake did it again...Steph did it again.

The parallels between the two and their perfected crafts (albeit different) are similar in their dual ability to scale social currencies with accolades. Greatness is a process.

    ROUGH! 🕺🏽

  • #7 - Belize was legendary

Belize was unlike any country I've ever experienced to keep it brief. Absurd amounts of liquor, being the "life of the party" everywhere we went, golf cart speeding, snorkeling with sharks, first time flying on a small 10-passenger plane. Unbelievable.

I thanked ad nauseam this episode, forgive me! Gratitude can often make you repetitive.

  • #6 - WE IN BELIZE BABY!!

Yesterday felt the closest to the longest day of my life! Second to traveling to Hawaii.

24 hours of travel through two planes, a water taxi, and golf carts. We all made it safely to the beautiful island of Belize for my brother-in-law's bachelor's party. Our villa is in Ambergris Caye in the surreal town of San Pedro.

All 13 of us will be out here wildin' for the next four days. Maximum gratitude, minimum worry.

  • #5 - When someone close to you is obese, you must tell them

The evolving Twitter discourse surrounding American obesity is always fascinating.

You're either a fatphobic asshole or an active enabler of someone's food addiction. If you love someone, tell them their negligence is alarming. If you don't, focus on yourself.

Here are three facts according to the CDC:

    1. More than two-thirds of adults in the United States are overweight or obese
    2. Obesity is linked to more than 60 chronic diseases
    3. Obesity affects 1 in 6 children

    5. #4 - "1986-1989 The Crack Era"

After my weekly softball games this morning, I fell into a historical YouTube rabbit hole centered on the crack epidemic in the United States.

I was fortunate to discover the channel Hezakya Newz & Films, who creates raw compilations of jaw-dropping archival news footage highlighting the increasing crime, violence, and social consequences affecting central inner-city New York City neighborhoods in the late 80s.

Fascinating, devastating, brilliant. Please take time to see his artistic journal compilations for yourself and support his channel.

    6. #3 - When seeking understanding fails, morality leads

Recorded this last night, Happy June 1st. I fast every morning until noon. Cooking chicken at 8 AM is wild.

The absence of commitment is the absence of depth in anything we do. Ask her to be your woman dawg, it's been seven months. Say it with your chest, say it with a smile, and embrace what's ahead...or not. Wasted time is a sin.
