Peloton screwed me over to the tune of an over $4,000 usage deal on the table that collapsed during an awkward Zoom meeting where I was illegally recorded without my consent.
Brand partnerships can be lucrative.
To date, I've managed to earn about $2,000 in UGC and partnership deals filming videos on my iPhone for 2-3 hours—all praise to TikTok's algorithm, online casting applications that take two minutes, and responding to email inquiries.
Last week I was reminded of the rampant ineptitude and incompetence coming from those employed at major companies. I may have lost a sweet, sweet gig becoming the new global face of Peloton for three months, yet I would rather take this instance as an opportunity to strengthen my strategy in communicating partnerships moving forward. A pledge to never allow another company to disrespect me or disregard my basic rights ever again.
I created a TikTok where I spoke more on this topic if you're interested in seeing what I had to say. Watch now here → https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRHCUDdK/
Failure is only a detour. I'll laugh about it in due time.
Opportunities are always in abundance.
Always.

1. Invest 10-30% of your total monthly income
2. Fund a 4-6 month expenses emergency savings in a high-yield savings account

jeen-yuhs was a masterpiece.
As a lifelong fan of Kanye West, I finally prioritized time to binge the Netflix documentary last night. I cried, laughed, and cheered every second across all three episodes—in a total gaze of the footage. Thank you Coodie and Chike for making this film possible for artists across the world! Your sacrifices supporting Ye from the genesis was a profound level of trustful brotherhood one can only pray for. I am beyond inspired to persevere at my highest level and take deeper leaps in the pursuit of my own creative endeavors. The time has always been now. We’re only here for 100 years if we’re lucky.

“I woke up early this mornin' with a new state of mind,
a creative way to rhyme without using knives and guns.
Keep your nose out the sky, keep your heart to God
and keep your face to the risin' sun…”
Go re-listen to The College Dropout again!! RIGHT F**KN NOW!!

It's time.
My rent went up far too high to justify living on the fourth floor with no elevator or laundry room. Although I'm fortunate to live in a spacious, two-bedroom apartment to myself with maximum transit accessibility, I fear my time in NYC is nearing its end. Even more so given I work remotely full-time. As a means to make moving easier, I'm committing to one more year this November with the intent to use these months to meet an aggressive savings goal that can allow me to place a calm down payment on a condo. $30K, no sweat. Most likely in New Jersey.
The sole condition I would consider staying in Brooklyn next year would be if I were to find an apartment that's an ABSOLUTE STEAL. An offer I would be dead wrong to refuse. Some of the minimum requirements I have in mind are common:
I don't ask for much, a lot can happen in a year. No guarantees.
Wish me luck! I won't need it, but it's courteous.

New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is a well-known social determinant of health.
Buildings are deteriorating and residents are bombarded with every health and quality of life issue imaginable. While less prevalent, lead and asbestos are also NYCHA problems, both linked to irreversible health effects such as neurological damage and lung cancers. Asbestos fibers in particular pose a danger to anyone who inhales them after years of exposure—worse if you're a smoker. Most asbestos-related diseases are diagnosed at least 15 years after initial exposure.
A 2018 NYS Department of Health assessment found 83 percent of inspected homes to have at least one severe hazard. While Americans spend 90 percent of their time indoors on average, for those who live in the projects, the percentage of time indoors is likely higher due to environmental factors like rampant crime, limited green spaces, and the pandemic.
There's a ton to unpack here, this has always disturbed me to my core.
If you're seeing neglectful practice from contractors or exposed asbestos trashed in commercial dumpsters, please submit a complaint at: https://portal.311.nyc.gov/article/?kanumber=KA-02197
This trip was memorable—I know I took a long break from the podcast! 🇩🇴
My sister's wedding was last Saturday, August 6th in Punta Cana. It was a breathtaking beachfront ceremony that I will remember for the rest of my life. She deserved every instance of perfection, every moment of joy shared between both families, and every drop of chlorine water that drowned her ears once we dove into the pool.
For anyone interested, we stayed four days at the Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana resort. A 10/10 experience, hands down. Shout out to Jency.
In deep reflection of my nine days spent traveling across DR as I gaze into the cosmos, it's clear how there are few things in life more important than the strength of a healthy family and the prioritization of fostering a legacy by any means.
It feels good to be home. There's a lot of work to do.

Comedian Andrew Schulz set a precedent for any artist or content creator with his latest comedy special "INFAMOUS". His monumental accomplishment is a powerful lesson we can all learn from.
Lessons on leverage, extreme ownership, censorship, and integrity of your art beg you to reflect on personal ethics if given a similar opportunity. As creators, we all yearn for success beyond our wildest imaginations. With the infinite leverage of the Internet, it isn't beyond the realm of possibility any one of us can earn a lucrative deal with a major distributor or streaming giant at some point in our futures. To make this feasible, abiding by a strategic creator funnel is imperative.
Think of it in four stages:
Once you build through all four stages, you now have extreme ownership of your intellectual property—enough to deny millions of dollars on the table in an effort to avoid diluting what initially made you successful.
We all deserve to come up on our own if we work hard.
Pay it forward and support Andrew Schulz if you can by visiting theandrewschulz.com.
The original episode (published at the end of last month) was uploaded using the wrong audio! 😳 YIKES...Nonetheless, presenting my most vulnerable episode to date.
Avoidance coping plays a salient role in common psychological problems.
Those who avoid taking actions that trigger painful memories from the past. Those who avoid circumstances where the potential for people being frustrated with them is probable. Those who "stay under the radar" despite your efforts of outreach. Sound familiar? What makes this dangerous to interpersonal skills is it exacerbates anxiety without helping a person deal with the things that are causing them stress in the first place.
Tonight I attempted to articulate how this behavior pattern affected the brotherhood I had with one of my close friends.

Despite extensive research, there is currently no evidence to conclude that exposure to low-level electromagnetic fields harms our health.
Yet it feels like an optimal decision to go to bed at night and while running errands during the day. Turning off the router and modem has been a game changer for my quality of sleep and the vitality of my plants, I swear! It's fascinating how such a beneficial push-of-a-button routine gets ignored by 99% of us.
We're hardwired to crave constant wireless connectivity.
Give it a try.

HAPPY JULY 4TH FAMILY!
Independence Day best exemplifies the spirit of community and unity in my family as it's our annual get-together date. All 80+ of us choose someone's backyard or Prospect Park to host a massive Dominican cookout. July 4th was never political for us. The bulk of my family is proud and emboldened to celebrate a day off work as citizens of a country that changed their lives. Food, drinks, music, and laughter in that order.
I'm also waiting patiently for the release of Apple's new M2 MacBook Air sometime this month to replace my old personal laptop. I have three episodes in the queue once I get the AirDrop on my work laptop to accept audio files. Network latency is trash.
Thank you as always for listening. Eat and drink responsibly!
