Our relationship with alcohol...well, it's complicated.
Molly Watts is an author, podcaster and mentor. She is also a mother, wife, and an adult child of an alcoholic.
Molly leaned into her own pivot when she decided to explore her own mindset around alcohol. She is the founder of Breaking the Legacy podcast which is dedicated to helping habit drinkers and adult children of alcoholics create a peaceful relationship with alcohol: past, present and future.
Molly’s approach is based in science. Her approach challenges others to use their own brain to change “unbreakable” drinking habits. Molly says " nothing has gone wrong, you’re not broken, you’re not sick...it’s not your genes. Creating peace is possible and I’m here to show you how."
Molly lives in the Portland, Oregon metro area with her husband Joe, two dogs, and four young men who now only stop by for months at a time during global pandemics. She loves to walk, write, read, drink coffee, and sit in her backyard during the summer.

Danny’s Ride… A Story of Love, Courage, and Legacy with Nancy Knoebel
The Think Courageously Podcast is all about success, courage, and pivots.
Some pivots come by choice and some happen because of unimaginable circumstances.
Meet Nancy Knoebel.
From play therapist to a Wharton MBA, to full-time mom and now President and CEO of Easterseals of Eastern Pennsylvania, Nancy shares her very intentional career journey. A planned pivot.
But what about the pivot that you never expected. Never wanted. And could never imagine.
In this episode, Nancy shares her very personal story about her son Danny.
Danny’s journey began 10 years ago with opioid addiction; heroin.
We begin by talking about what it feels like to be a mom who’s questioning how to show up in the most powerful way for her son. Danny asked for help. And Nancy and her family did all they could to get him the help he needed.
Danny was on the recovery journey...in and out of addiction.
Nancy shares what that journey felt like as a mom. And the spiritual practice she developed to support Danny in his recovery.
And of course, we talk about Danny and his recovery.
Nancy then shares the story of the unimaginable events that led to Danny's death.
And the courage it has taken Nancy to create a legacy in honor of Danny and his life.
Nancy introduces us to Danny’s Ride. A nonprofit organization that Nancy has launched. (www.DannysRide.org)
Danny's Ride was created to ensure that people with substance use disorder addiction can get to where they need to go...for free. "Because I know getting places is hard when you're living with addiction. For a lot of people, it's a barrier to recovery."
This is a powerful story about creating a legacy from a place of love and courage.
“I'm living in a different world right now, the world I knew is no longer the world I live in, and here's a new world and I'm going to have to try to figure this world out.”-Nancy Knoebel
www.DannysRide.org
Our mission is to honor Danny’s legacy of compassion and generosity, we provide free rides to recovery services for people living with substance use disorder. You can help Danny’s Ride achieve its vision of a world where transportation is no longer a barrier to recovery. www.DannysRide.org

Today's episode is a personal reflection on Black History Month.
What does a middle-aged, white, Jewish girl from Jersey have to say about Black History Month?
In this episode, I'll share
Today's show allows me to connect the dots...reflecting back to two past shows and looking at things through a 2021 lens. I replay a previous episode-Bursting My own Bubble. And, add insight into what's happened in the past seven months in the world that has fired me up about my own using my own voice in courageous ways.
In honor of Black History Month, we're doing a #replay on one of my favorite past shows.
Danielle Adams is the owner of Queen Suite Coach and has been a leadership coach since 2014.
In this conversation between coaching, friends, and a couple of Jersey Girls, we talk about the notion of matriculating into your womanhood.
"It is just this funky, ugly, beautiful, gorgeous, perfect transition that you make. It happens in phases and it doesn't stop... because when you are matriculating into your womanhood, you're starting to understand the core of who you are and why and how you, you do things that you do."
Danielle also shares the story of her magnificent crown and her RESET coaching system. A system that grew out of her own pain and dysfunction and her willingness to grow and develop after challenges.
Let's #ThinkCourageously with Danielle Adams.

In honor of Black History Month and elevating Black Women's Voices, I'm relaunching Coach Kofi Williams October podcast. Since October, Kofi and I have developed a very special relationship.
In January, Kofi joined The Think Good Company as the Client Success Coach. Together, we are having on-going courageous conversations about race and gender. And supporting each other as we build our businesses.
Kofi is on a mission....to help 10,000 Black women live empowered.
In 2007, she heard 10 words that shook her world and changed everything
“When you change your thinking, you can change your life.”
In this episode, Kofi shares her powerful journey of self-discovery. From 30 years of clinical depression, being a teenage mom and being on her own and leaving home at the age of 16 to her career in the corporate world and...
Her 2020 Pivot.
On May 25, when she saw George Floyd, murdered on national television, it changed everything for Kofi. She clarified her vision. And now, she proudly says that she boldly serves black women... helping them to find their vision, their value in their voice, so that they live more and suffer less.
We talk about suffering. And the two basic reasons that we suffer in life... because number one, we don't truly understand how life works. And number two, we don't truly understand who we are. We believe that we've been that person that's been conditioned by our family.
Coach Kofi talks about her own way of protesting by helping black women to live empowered lives. And teaching them what an empowered life looks like. And by providing the opportunity for black women to release some of that old baggage and reframe their thoughts. And in essence, reframe their whole life experience.
We talk about the duality of life. the notion that you cannot have good without bad, up without down left without right. black without white and death without birth. which means there is no place called Happyland.
And of course, we talk about courage and the everyday decisions that we get to make and how we show up.
Join us as we #thinkcourageously with #CoachKofiUnfiltered.

Christine Corrigan is the author of "Surviving Cancer Twice with Love and Lists:.
A mom. wife and recovering attorney, Christine shares her fierce story of surviving cancer twice. At age 15, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease. And as an adult, she battled breast cancer.
Her book was inspired by her medical support team who thought it might be helpful if she created a list of lessons for women going through cancer. And she carefully braids these two stories together reflecting back from the perspective of time and experience.
Christine shares her writing journey with us. From the fleeting idea of writing lists to the disciplined path she took to build her writing habit, this is a realistic glimpse into the rigor of writing.
Our conversation focuses on our limiting beliefs around asking for help. The struggle of receiving support. The challenge of letting go of control. And the magic that happens when you let others bolster you up. Christine is candid about how the experience of letting others in became an ignitor for serving other women.
And as always, In this episode, we talk about success, courage, and pivots.
Exploring the notion of "practical realities", Christine has carefully cultivated a guide-book for others on the cancer journey. The book is available on Amazon.

I am...a white woman with brown-eyes., Petite, with short hair. That's what you see.
What you don't see is that I am a Jew. I am a Jersey girl. I am an advocate. I am an ally. I am a sister, I am a step-mom, I have one daughter. I grew up in an upper-middle-class family. I am a wife. I am an orphan. I am a pet mama. I am a survivor. I am an anti-racist.
Our identities are complex. I am so much more than you can see. And, we rarely get a chance to share some of these details with others.
In this episode, I draw my own line in the sand. My line around bigotry, hatred, and what my parents taught me about "never forgetting".
And I share why I believe we are all connected by different pieces of our identity. A web of connectedness.
It's time for all of us to #thinkcourageously about this broken world we live in. It's time to rise, speak up and make a difference.
