Think for Yourself

There is power in information. This isn't news to any of us. So there is certainly power in the deliberate retention and manipulation of information for certain. This is exactly what is  happening all around us. Carole explores two instances where there was 1) deliberate withholding and 2) coordination in disseminating information vital to the public.

There is news that's almost hard to fathom. The creation of a Disinformation Governance Board by the Biden Administration to monitor  social media and speech! generally. Isn't that what happens in dictatorships?  But there's also encouraging news about CNN, Netflix and Amazon. Carole covers it all.

Elon Musk is the hero of the week for buying Twitter, and rightfully so. But we're making the same mistake we often make which is thinking that a single individual will, by his or her actions, eliminate all that ails us. That works in fiction but not so much in real life. Carole discusses how we arrived at this point in time and what the way out looks like with the help of two books: one on the Bill of Rights and one by Ayn Rand.

While you're being distracted with the domestic war on terror and the war in Ukraine, something much more nefarious is occurring with the "other hand." We are getting a Censorship Czar who will decide what is permissible to be said, heard and seen. Carole turn the spotlight on this other hand and where it will lead based on past experience.

Some seemingly incredible and irrational ideas seem to have taken hold with little to no scrutiny. There is only one explanation for how this is happening and this episode looks it straight in the eye.

Elon Musk's TEDx interview this week was not only insightful about Musk himself, but also an instructional roadmap for all of us who want to leave the world a bit better off than when we got here. Carole delves into what was revealed, the roadmap, and ties it all to this holiday season.

We often assume that biblical "stories" are just that and have no relevance to present day circumstances. Similarly to how many see the Constitution. But even if not literal, those stories  provide us with critical knowledge we can apply, at this very moment, to change the direction of the country. Carole explores one in particular.

We are so distracted by things we have virtually no control over, while at the same time we turn away from those things we can absolutely affect if we just bring our thoughts and actions present, instead of regretting the past or worrying about a hypothetical future. Carole looks at our tendency to turn away from things that make us uncomfortable as she explains the true purpose of pain.

We have a common denominator even if we are being trained not to recognize it. Its our humanity. Conservative talk show host Sean Hannity interviewed Leftist actor Sean Penn and showed us what it looks like when differences are set aside and we meet on the battleground of ideas instead. Carole analyses what took place and also discusses the agenda of separation.
