Technology is seductive and addictive. It can be use for good or evil. But its real hazard is that it inhibits and destroys inquisitiveness and the creativity necessary to problem solve in ways that translate to actually improving one's quality of life that exists not online. Its called "Learned Helplessness" and Carole looks at it for what it is and what it does.

There are unanswered questions: Why is the US still buying oil from Putin as he ravages Ukraine? Why are we literally funding a heartless killer? Why are we ignoring our own energy sources? Why are we more concerned about the environmentalists than our fellow humans? Tech has brought the world together online. But we lose sight of how truly connected we are in the non-tech world. Things happening in Canada and Ukraine at this very moment are warning signs of why we need to understand how what happens in both those regions will determine what happens in ours.

Bullies come in all shapes, sizes, ethnicity and nationality. Bullies use force. But its the short term gain that sacrifices the long term win. The truckers in Ottawa are presenting the world with an opportunity to witness the profound difference between power and force...and why one makes us more human and the other less so.

What is in your heart is as important as what you do. Carole looks at oppression and the three stages of rightful and justifiable opposition to it. Not only are the means critical, but so too is  what you hold in your heart when participating in resistance. The Canadian truckers opposing mandates and parents opposing school curricula are brilliant examples of both the means and the intention.
