  • BTS of my life-changing trip to Florida

In today’s episode of the Think Like A Brand podcast, Remi is giving the Behind-The-Scenes exclusive on her trip to Florida for Freedom Queen Live (recorded in Florida!). She talks about how she had a big realisation whilst out there that her old ways aren’t going to cut it anymore, so this episode is Remi sharing all her key lessons learnt from the event. Remi talks about how she is determined to bring the Florida momentum back to the UK with her, to lean hard into her creativity, authenticity and making bold moves to build the kind of disruptive brand that’ll have people taking notice.

    Key Takeaways

You’re no different from that person you aspire to be like

All you need to do is own who you are, become very well known with what you do, non stop, sell what you're already good at, and just do it over and over and over again

It doesn’t matter if there’s loads of other coaches teaching what you do

People don’t buy into the features of what you teach, they buy into YOU, your story and your unique way of doing things

    Resistance is a good feeling

It’s a sign for you to go and take big, courageous bold moves off that feeling

    Reverse engineer your goals

Instead of focusing on your big goal only, break this down. E.g break your 4 year goal down into years, then into quarters, then months, then into your specific offers.

    Don’t ignore your downloads

If you’re having downloads, they’re meant for you - so listen to them and take action on them

Fearing challenges will keep you small

They’re actually opportunities for growth and the more you can embrace them, the more you’ll be elevated to your next level

Surround yourself with people who ‘get’ you and support your vision

This is the key to your next level of growth within your business, moving away from people who aren’t dreaming as big as you, or believing in you as much as you know you do yourself

  • How the Beckham’s have created some of the most powerful personal brands in the world

In today’s episode of the Think Like A Brand podcast, Remi is doing a case study into the Beckham family and their personal brand. The legendary couple have taken personal branding to a whole new level, not just for themselves, but for their entire family. They've managed to balance the fame, the business, and the family life, all while creating magnetic personal brands that have captivated the world. Remi talks through the key lessons we can learn from looking at how they’ve managed to build these phenomenal personal brands.

    Key Takeaways:

It's okay to change career paths - stop worrying about changing your niche

Victoria went from Spice Girl to luxury designer, while David transitioned from footballer to fashion icon. Your personal brand can follow you (if it’s strong enough), no matter what industry you're in.

Staying relevant and evolving is key

David and Victoria are always ahead of the curve, anticipating what their audience wants and delivering it. That's the secret to creating a personal brand that lasts and grows with you so it always feels authentic.

Bringing more YOU into your personal brand is the key

The Beckhams aren't afraid to show off their family life, and that's what makes people fall in love with their brand - think about how you can lean into that personal side of your biz (this doesn’t mean you can’t have privacy)

    Authenticity is everything

No matter how big they get, the Beckhams always stay true to who they are. That's the energy your audience crave.

  • You’re not boring, you’re just uninspired

In today’s episode of the Think Like A Brand podcast, Remi jumps into that myth that you’re telling yourself that you’re boring and that’s why you don’t feel like you have anything to share with your audience to build your personal brand. Spoiler alert: You’re not boring, you’re just uninspired! Remi is breaking down how to get out of this belief and start showing up as the magnetic force you truly are. Remember, building a personal brand isn't about being perfect or having it all figured out. It's about being real, showing up, and connecting with your audience in a way that only you can.

    Key Takeaways:

    Get into your creative zone

If you’re feeling like you’ve got nothing to say, it’s not because you’re dull - you’re just not doing enough to light your own fire.

Your subconscious is playing tricks on you

Your mind’s trying to keep you safe by making you believe you’re boring. It’s a limiting belief! The more you can ignore this and start believing in your uniqueness, the better.

    Change up your environment

If you’re feeling uninspired and in a rut creatively, get out of your comfort zone - change up your environment and do things you love. When you do this, your energy becomes infectious.

    Everyone has a story

You’ve got a journey that someone in your audience is dying to learn from - if you can start to tell it. Your experiences, your struggles, your wins - they’re all part of what makes you uniquely you. It’s time to own it and share it.

    Consistency is key

You need to be showing up regularly to build trust with your audience - people need to be able to follow your journey and get to know you.

  • How to use Neuromarketing to build a memorable personal brand

In this episode of the Think Like A Brand podcast, Remi is diving into Neuromarketing and how understanding the science behind how the human brain works is crucial for building a captivating personal brand. Remi explains the two key parts of the brain - the emotional/limbic brain and the logical/neocortex brain and then shares strategies for you to take action to create a memorable, relatable and impactful personal brand.

    Key Takeaways:

The emotional/limbic side of the brain reacts instantly to emotional triggers

Your personal branding must tap into stories, vulnerability and evoking positive feelings like safety, belonging and self-worth

The logical side of the brain needs rational content

It makes rational decisions so to speak to this side of your audience’s brain, you need to be creating content based around facts, figures, social proof and crystal clear benefits.

    Consistency and repetition are key

The brain loves familiarity, so stick to the same core stories, values and visual branding

Sell by focusing on the desired outcome/transformation

Don’t just talk about the features of your offers, but what results they will actually create - speak to what your audience wants right now

Connecting on an emotional level increases dopamine

Dopamine is a positive, happy feeling which then leads to your audience becoming more loyal and connected to you and your personal brand

In this episode of the Think Like A Brand podcast, Remi is joined by her first guest - Rebecca Hayden.

Rebecca is a Mindset and Business Coach, Master Hypnotherapist, and NLP Trainer dedicated to helping ambitious female entrepreneurs shatter subconscious barriers and achieve their biggest visions. Known for her high-impact approach, Rebecca guides her clients to master their subconscious, fueling consistent multi-5-figure months with ease, deep self-trust, and unstoppable momentum.

Her clients become CEOs who embody their highest potential, creating not only financially thriving businesses but also lives brimming with freedom, adventure, and fulfilment. With Rebecca’s expertise, they step confidently into a future where success feels safe, sustainable, and deeply aligned with who they are at their core.

In this episode, they discuss how the subconscious mind helps and hinders entrepreneurs when it comes to building their personal brand and showing up online. Rebecca explains the different stages of learning and how moving from conscious competence to subconscious competence is the key for overcoming mindset blocks standing in your way. They dive into the power of the subconscious, how it stores emotional experiences, and how hypnotherapy can be used to reprogram limiting beliefs.

    Key Takeaways:

The subconscious mind is constantly trying to keep you safe and comfortable

What this means for your personal brand is it actually stops you from taking the steps you need to to be able to grow it, so being aware of how the subconscious mind works is key.

    Past experiences create limiting beliefs

The subconscious mind stores everything we’ve experienced, especially emotionally-charged things that have happened to us in the past. These stored experiences then create the limiting beliefs that hold us back in business (& life).

    Hypnotherapy as a tool

It allows you to directly communicate with the subconscious mind and reprogram it with new, empowering beliefs and behaviours that support your growth as a business owner.

Fake it till you make it is how a lot of successful people grow

A lot of successful entrepreneurs simply act like the person they want to become. This creates self-belief and confidence that is the missing piece that you can add into your strategy to truly explode your income and impact.

  • How Rihanna’s Personal Brand Has Exploded Her Business Success

In this episode of the Think Like A Brand podcast, Remi uses Rihanna as a case study of someone who has built an incredible and memorable personal brand that has led to huge success of her businesses, Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty (as well as her career as an artist). Remi dives into how Rihanna’s authenticity, confidence and exclusivity has resonated with her audience and led to her expanding her brand with purpose. She’s filled gaps in the market by staying true to her values and created a powerful personal brand that has disrupted the beauty and fashion industries.

    Key takeaways:

    Authenticity is the key

Rihanna has never been afraid to show her true self and stand by her values, which is what has led to her having a loyal audience that are connected to her message.

    Use your purpose to expand

Rihanna’s ventures into beauty and fashion weren’t random, but aligned to her brand values of diversity, confidence and self-expression - everything she does is deeply rooted in who she is and what she stands for.

Take your audience on the journey with you

Rihanna allows her audience to connect with her by taking them on the journey with her - showing the highs and lows of building her brands, which helps her audience to connect with her and feel like they’re a part of her story.

Stay true and consistent to your brand values

Rihanna’s personal brand is rooted in her core values and she’s consistently communicating and embodying these values in her business and online presence - creating consistency and a clear message.

    Think bigger

Stop playing small or limiting yourself - think about how you can create a more impactful and influential brand that reflects your true self.

    Embrace your uniqueness

Rihanna’s success comes from her being unapologetically herself, rather than trying to fit into a mold. This is what has attracted the right people who connect with her message into her audience as loyal fans. This is what creates a magnetic brand.

  • How to overcome mindset blocks stopping you from building a Personal Brand

In this episode of the Think Like A Brand podcast, Remi focuses on overcoming mindset blocks that are stopping you from building a personal brand. Remi emphasises the importance of actually identifying these limiting beliefs, like fear of rejection or imposter syndrome, so you know what’s holding you back specifically. The episode dives into the need to be authentic, embrace vulnerability and let go of the need to be perfect. Remi shares her story of how she’s managed to overcome blocks that have come from being criticised in the past and reprogrammed her own mindset. This episode gives you a framework for doing the inner work to overcome these blocks and start building your next level personal brand.

    Key Takeaways:

Two common excuses as to why people don’t have a personal brand.

Saying “I don’t do anything exciting” and “I’m not good enough’ are just excuses, your life can be completely ‘normal’ and still create a personal brand because people will resonate and connect with ‘normal’. Overcoming the belief you’re not good enough is the key to building your authority through your personal brand.

Identify the blocks holding you back from creating a personal brand

Things like being criticised in the past for speaking out, self-doubt and overthinking what to actually say. Once you can identify these blocks, you can do the work to overcome them and start building the key to growing your business.

Timeline therapy can be transformational for overcoming mindset blocks

If you think you’ve tried everything to get over the mindset blocks that are stopping you from upleveling, timeline therapy is a great way to access and overcome these.

The fear of rejection is stopping you from showing up authentically online

Notice how the fear of being disliked or criticised is costing you opportunities - it’s capping your business growth. The sooner you can move through this, the more you’ll attract the people you actually want to and start positioning yourself as an authority in your industry.

    Let go of perfectionism

Embrace and embody the idea that you already have everything within you right now to build a successful personal brand, without having to change who you are or copy someone else.

Use your offline self to curate your personal brand

Think about who you are offline, in your personal life - what are your habits, personality, boundaries etc. Your online personal brand should then reflect these values and lifestyle that’s unique to you.

    Be willing to get vulnerable

Vulnerability and sharing your journey is what allows your audience to connect in a genuine way - this is what makes your brand truly magnetic.

Understand the real cost of staying stuck in these limiting beliefs

They’re impacting you retaining clients, attracting clients, your income, your freedom and your impact. Choose to believe in your potential instead of letting your limiting beliefs run the show.

  • What is a personal brand and why is it the key to your business growth

In this very first episode of Think Like a Brand with Remi Gutteridge - she dives into exactly what a personal brand actually is and why it’s crucial to build one to be remembered, recognised and chosen over your competition. In this episode, Remi debunks some myths around personal branding, from the idea that you have to be an influencer to have a personal brand, to the belief that it’s just about showing off. Remi shares the foundations of building a personal brand - with three key action steps to take.

    Key Takeaways:

Personal branding is the key to business growth:
A personal brand isn’t just a “nice to have” or something for influencers - it’s a necessity. Your audience wants to connect with you as a real person, not just as a business and this is exactly what your personal brand allows them to do.

Having a personal brand is not just for influencers:
Your brand is about showcasing your unique story, values, and personality in a way that makes your audience think ‘hell yeah! This is the girl I want to work with’

    The power of storytelling:
The best personal brands are built on stories. People don’t just want to see the end result—they want to see the journey. So, the more you can share your struggles & lessons as well as your successes, the more people will relate and remember your brand.

    Become memorable:
This isn’t about being the loudest or boldest person in the room, it’s about discovering what makes your story unique and leaning into that authenticity. Ask yourself: What part of my journey do people need to know to remember me?

    Show more of your personality:
Ask yourself: How often am I sharing my true personality? Are you sharing the highs, the lows, and the behind-the-scenes of your journey? This doesn’t mean oversharing or having no private life, but it does mean being honest and open about who you are. People connect with you when they see the full version of your personality, not just the polished version.

    Consistency is key:
Consistency is what helps people remember you over time. Ask yourself: Am I showing up consistently with my brand? This includes everything from your tone of voice to your visual branding. Whether you’re posting on social media, sending out emails, or creating content, consistency creates familiarity and trust. Your audience needs to know what to expect from you month after month, so don’t underestimate the power of consistency.
