Sitting with pain and suffering in myself and others is the practice right now. Empathy that exists outside of answers and fixes is all I have to offer. I talk about this in this episode and also return to the original format of having a guided meditation after the talking part. Take care everyone - David
We've had a few people reach out about how Coronavirus is effecting our travels, so I thought it was a good time to do a life updates episode and talk about that. I also talk about my three favorite app games and how those three each offer a different approach towards dealing with the situations of challenges of life. This conversely explains how we're making the choices we make, so you get an idea not just of the choices but also the thinking behind the choices. This way of looking at the thought process may be something useful in your life too.
Recorded in the ancient ruins of Hampi, India. In this ratified environment David talks about different paths to opening the heart and how sometimes the throat can be a gateway to a very specific type of heart connection. Please enjoy this activated episode!
It's a free form conversation this week as David talks about a feeling of liberation that he got from getting a haircut in India by a barber who spoke no English. This mutates into a conversation on the illusion of control and how it can be great to occasional ease up on the grip we hold on our experience.
This week David talks about the small simple things. It can be easy to overlook the quiet moments as they may lack the excitement of the bigger, bolder moments - but they are essential to a happy life.
David introduces this episode and talks a little about his upcoming meditation workshop then hands over the podcast to very special guest Mona who leads a meditation focused on moving from the individual mind/ego into a space of expansion. Please enjoy!
David spent time writing up an outline beforehand so look forward to a more focused episode of the Third Dreamer Meditation Podcast! David talks about Ganesha, the elephant-headed Hindu god whom he chants daily to. In examining Ganesha David touches on the idea that cuteness has a certain inherent value/divinity and also talks about how Ganesha's role as lord of obstacles shines a light on the role of obstacles and how we relate to them in life.
After a bout of food poisoning, David takes the opportunity to check in about the traveling life. Pros and cons, and how this seems to be a realistic lifestyle.
This week David records while sitting in the shade of a shores fishing boat. He gives some life updates and then talks about spiritual evolution and the recognition that just because something is evolving doesn't mean it's always getting better, just different.
It's an auspicious episode as we reach the third episode of the third season of the Third Dreamer Meditation Podcast! David sits outdoors, gives some life updates from Varkala Beach, Kerala, India and then leads a short awareness meditation. The meditation is great for all levels of practice, please enjoy!
