Inspired by one of the morning journal entries, Penning Emptiness enquires the necessity of creating an emptiness. The podcast looks into the role of writing each morning - an act to bring an emptiness and what becomes available on achieving this catharsis. Finally, the podcast completes by looking at the necessity to simply take actions from a point of emptiness rather than lingering on many thoughts and not acting at all! 

The text that inspired the podcast is written below: 

"The job of a pen is to facilitate writing. Facilitating writing is not writing itself. Writing need not mean that it’s always a creation. Creation need not mean that it’s always good. And, good need not mean that it’s good for all. The good here is contextual, creation is subjective and what gets written is beyond the control of the pen, and therefore the pen cannot get disheartened by the fact that whatever it facilitates may or may not be worthwhile, but it simply does its job. It simply keeps writing."

Kantabai is a fisherwoman whose story we covered a few weeks ago in our daily afternoon reads that we post on THIRTEEN.
