The whole conversation of "Living like a Chimp!" was triggered from one of our earlier podcasts. The context of this conversation being, while there are many resemblances between humans and chimpanzees, a chimpanzee does not have the ability to comprehend the future or bring complex references from the past and then create an imaginative world within this moment and experience emotions for things that are not even happening! As the title of this podcast says, this conversation focuses on the diminishing culture of reading books. While reading was a means to gain knowledge, it probably is an outdated and inefficient medium today, and therefore has diminished in the era of the internet. However, like a candle that reinvented itself through its aroma, symbolizing a quiet moment or a romantic expression, it is, perhaps, time that a book needs to reinvent as well. Reading a book is no longer a mere means to gain knowledge, but it is a means to also slow down, experience the world, cherish the art and ponded, wonder, wander and amaze oneself!

Our life is driven by reasons - in the present world that we live in, more than ever before. Are reasons real? Do reasons have validity? Does this world, the universe, mother nature function on the fundamental basis of reasons? While we may hastily say a big YES, in 'reasons' more than one, the answer could simply be a big NO! What is it then beyond all the reasons we perceive? We try to touch this vague, abstract topic with an inquisitive conversation.

Correction: In the podcast, Prasanna refers to Vijay Hazare and Vijay Merchant as cricketers of the 60s'. However, they played mostly through the 40s' and a bit in the 50s'. The intent and purpose remain the same though - i.e. to highlight the altering stance in the game of cricket the country witnessed through the last five decades as it evolved.
