In this last scholarship Wednesday service for the year, Brother Sam takes us through the history of the Christmas celebration. He corrects some erroneous beliefs regarding Christmas, especially in the 21st century.
We look at questions like why we celebrate the birth of our Lord on the 25th of December, whether we need to celebrate Christmas, whether Christmas have a pagan origin, etc.

Brother Sam continues the hand of God (God's providence) and explains the hand of God in the nations of the world
“He has mapped out the boundaries of their existence” in the words of Paul, showing fully well that God is sovereign over the nations
An interesting twist to this teaching is the parallel drawn between the prophecies of Isaiah and Daniel and the particular time that Christ's incarnation occurred (corroborated by historical scholars) showing fully well that the Lord had beforehand sovereignly guided the rising and falling of empires before the rise of the great Roman Empire in which Christ came
This shows that God doesn’t stand aloof in the affairs of the nations of men, but is deliberate; working out His salvation plan to redeem a lost humanity
Brother Seye, shares his thoughts on spiritual warfare through a book study on the epistle written by Jude.
Brother Seye explains a key link in explaining how the believer wars for his soul as well as for others
“Jude 1:20 - building up yourselves in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God”
The believer is built up in his most holy faith by calling to mind the scriptures and ensuring they permeate his entire existence to build himself in the faith that he has received.
Praying in the Holy Spirit is praying in the will of the Father as corroborated in Ephesians. Prayer is God's means of grace to keep us in His love.
Brother Seye explains this is how we will be able to show mercy to others with the truth when they have been deceived and snatch others out of the fire as well
Do listen mindfully and be edified.
Brother Sam continues the end of the year teaching series with an explanation of Gods purpose and design for a Christian marriage
Why did God create marriage?
Is the biblical teaching of headship by the husband and submission of the wife a culture to subjugate women?
What does a believer in Christ look out for in a relationship when getting ready for marriage?
These questions are answered carefully from the scriptures

Bro. Glory takes us on a bible study on the Beatitudes, we see what exactly the kingdom of God is and how that relates to each of the Beatitudes.
Please listen and share.
Brother Sam begins a teaching series dealing with the Providence of God.
How can Christians handle the seeming contradictions in scripture concerning human responsibility and God's Sovereignty?
Specific to salvation; did we choose God or did He choose us?
Are we co-actors in the story of God's Salvation plan?
This teaching requires serious attention to the dictates of scripture.
We hope it blesses you.
Sister Ijeoma continues this bible study from where she stopped in the bible study "The Greatest Commandment".
In this bible study, we look at what it really means when the Lord instructs us to love Him above all else. We see that loving the Lord must be seen in corresponding actions as shown in the word of God.
God Loved us first, and we can't love anyone if our love is not coming from God. You can't fake love, it is obvious. You must be fully aware of the love God has for you and be assured of it
You must have the conviction of God's love
Please listen and share.
Brother Sam concludes the teaching series and this time shows us how God dealt with the problem of sin comprehensively such that the believer can gaze up and say “thank you.”
Regeneration, justification, sanctification and redemption are the 4 ways in which the Lord handled the sin problem.
He changed our hearts and took us from death to life - regeneration
He freed us from the guilt of sin and its penalty - justification
He purified and cleaned us and asked us to walk in holiness as a war for our souls by coming to the throne of grace - sanctification
We will be caught up in glory one day; never to deal with the pangs of sin ever again - glorification
Please listen and be blessed!
On this scholarship Wednesday, Bro. Sam answers questions from our study of the book of Acts during Awake, our month of spiritual emphasis.
Please listen and share.
Brother Sam begins a teaching series on the depth of the work that Jesus Christ did on the cross
Akin to the series on the facets of our salvation; this teaching reminds us about what Christ actually came to do. From the words of Mary to the song of Elizabeth. From the prophecies of the prophets to the writers of the 4 gospels, the theme is consistent. Christ came to redeem a lost humanity and reconnect us to the King of Kings
Most worthy of note is the idea that Jesus died for health and wealth. Brother Sam again shows us from the scripture what Christ's work is
Do listen and be edified.
