Bro. Kingsley shares with us a charge from the book of James on what faith is and the demands it places on us as believers.
The works of faith are that we believe what God has said and the demands of that belief, which is His will for our life, is we surrender to it, no matter the cost.

Brother Sam rounds up the series by pointing us to the blessed state of persecution.
He points us to several scriptures showing the blessedness of a believer who is reviled for his faith, insulted for his hope and scorned for doing what is good.
In our world today where persecution is seen as a curse and many think persecution will be the death of the church, Brother Sam reminds us from scripture to be prepared to be ostracized for the hope that we profess, something to the point of death.
What greater blessing than to open our eyes before our Savior!
I hope this series blesses you!
Bro. Sam gives this short charge at our first Charis vigil, held on the last Friday of our Awake month.

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled” (Matthew 5:6)
In this fourth part of the teaching; Brother Sam begins by describing God as “the Good”; the One through whom all good things emanate from.
However, there’s a tendency for humanity to replace one of the goods God gives with the ultimate Good; God Himself.
Brother Sam therefore describes what a hunger and thirst for righteousness looks like
To hunger and thirst for righteousness is to flee all things that defile
To hunger and thirst for righteousness is to have no company with evildoers.
To hunger and thirst for righteousness is to turn our backs on this world and its fleeting pleasures.
To hunger and thirst….
Listen to the rest of the teaching. It’s a huge lesson in the practical aspect of our pursuit of pleasing God as regenerated and consecrated people

Brother Sam continues the teaching series on the Beatitudes; showing us what the Bible describes as true blessedness.
With myriad scriptures explaining the evil in pride and arrogance and the blessedness of the meek and humble, Brother Sam shows us God's disposition to a heart of pride.
What’s more important is the statement “They shall inherit the earth”
What exactly does a meek believer in God inherit?
If this world is not our own, and we are asked to gaze at our heavenly Jerusalem and not Babylon; what are we inheriting?
