Brother Seye continues the teaching series on Contra Mundum (against the world)
He shows us that fighting the good fight of faith is as much within the church for sound doctrine as it is without from unbelievers, just as Athanasius had in his days.
Brother Maj shows us three things to bear in mind as we fight the good fight of faith with the sword of the Spirit.
Please listen and share.
Brother Seye begins a teaching series on the Latin phrase used to describe the Early Church Father Athanasius in His Epitaph: Contra Mundum (Against The World)
He takes us on a brief history of Athanasius’ Life. Exiled 5 times in his tenure as bishop of Alexandria Egypt, Athanasius shows the true example of a Christian given to meditation and consecration. Athanasius fought the error of Arianism in His time with grace, love and conviction.
Brother Maj uses his life to teach us how we Stand against error and contend for faith as we grow in the knowledge and influence of God's word,
Sister Ifeanyi expounds on the word of God showing us how we ought to behave in the work place
How do we relate to the work we are given? How do we handle believing and unbelieving employees? How do we conduct ourselves in relation to unjust bosses or leaders?
Sister Ifeanyi shows us how our work is done towards God and we will give account to God at the end of time.
Brother Sam concludes In the second part of the teaching by addressing the differences in infants and the mature in the faith.
The Bible characterizes infants as sensual, unstable, divisive, self-absorbed and proud. Qualities that are found in those who do not profess Christ.
However, an infant Christian ought to grow and shed off all the aforementioned negatives.
If a Christian remains in infancy after a while, it is a cause for concern.
What then are the tools to engender growth in the infant Christian
1. The word (the Bible)
2. the church (that dispenses the word in adherence to apostolic doctrine)
3. prayer
4. the sacraments (communion especially)
We hope this teaching jolts you to take responsibility for your spiritual growth
Sister Ijeoma recaps from the last message, the Message of Apostle John part 10, about taking the scriptures as the apostle's eyewitness accounts to us and there's no reason not to believe them.
In this part, we look at John's account of the man who had been paralyzed for 38 years in John 5:1-30.
Jesus heals the man at the pool but the Pharisees were more bothered about the man carrying his mat on the sabbath.
We see Jesus' reasponse to the inquiry of the Pharisees and how He equates himself with God (of the Old Testament).

“In this teaching, Brother Seye explains to us the essence of the church of Christ using Psalms 68
He explains the essence of our salvation as a salvation into God's family/ household.
With this in mind. The believer ought to 3 important views of the church
1. A communal view of the church
2. A theological view of the church.
3. A restorative view of the church
This will keep us from isolating ourselves from God's family.

In this concluding part of the the expository teaching of the book of Ephesians, Brother Seye shares three final thoughts after a quick recap of the study.
First thought from v1-4, we see the nature of the relationship in the family unit, especially concerning the children of God's people.
The second thought from v5-9 is an admonition about our relationship and attitude in the workplace.
The third and final thought is about standing strong through the constant contention against everything that the apostle had instructed from chapter 1.

In this teaching, Brother Sam uses Ephesians 4 to describe what spiritual growth looks like
He addresses 3 major things that a believer ought to grow in
1. What They Know
2. How They Think
3. How They Live
These three things do not happen separately but simultaneously such that as a believer grows in biblical knowledge, his/her mind is adjusted and beliefs changed which will in turn guide actions.
This sermon is practical and calls us all to reflect on our lives as we seek to please the Father
Do listen and be changed.
Brother Seye continues his expository teaching on the book of Ephesians and shares a couple of thoughts from Chapter 5.
Apostle Paul instructs us to imitate Christ and the reason we can imitate Christ is because God has given us the resources by which we can be imitators of God. We are called to forgive as Christ forgave us, called to be holy as He is and not to be sexually immoral both in our thoughts and speech.
We are not to take for granted the truth of God's saving power to keep and live like we have no responsibilities or as if nothing is required of us.
The second thought is to be filled with the spirit, walk as children of light and we see that being filled is evidenced in our speaking. To be filled with the spirit is to have the influence of the Spirit on our mind.
