In the concluding message of “The Hand of God” series that describes God's providence, we look at God's hand in riches.

Brother Sam recounts His previous teachings of 2023 such as “Laying Up Gold as dust” as He reminds us of the biblical tone on riches and poverty.

If a man’s purpose is tied to what he does and not what he has, then it means his material state is a function of where the Lord will have him be.

The Lord gave some 5 talents, some 2, another 1. All men will give account based on that which the Lord has apportioned to them.

Therefore, a Christian’s purpose can never be to be rich or to be poor. Our purpose is to do the will of God and our material state is an accident; a function of what the Lord has asked us to do and where He has asked us to be

This teaching prepares the way for 2024 and what our desires should be as we walk through the new year.

“He has mapped out the boundaries of their existence” in the words of Paul, showing fully well that God is sovereign over the nations

An interesting twist to this teaching is the parallel drawn between the prophecies of Isaiah and Daniel and the particular time that Christ's incarnation occurred (corroborated by historical scholars) showing fully well that the Lord had beforehand sovereignly guided the rising and falling of empires before the rise of the great Roman Empire in which Christ came

This shows that God doesn’t stand aloof in the affairs of the nations of men, but is deliberate; working out His salvation plan to redeem a lost humanity

Brother Seye, shares his thoughts on spiritual warfare through a book study on the epistle written by Jude.

Brother Seye explains a key link in explaining how the believer wars for his soul as well as for others

“Jude 1:20 - building up yourselves in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God”

The believer is built up in his most holy faith by calling to mind the scriptures and ensuring they permeate his entire existence to build himself in the faith that he has received.

Praying in the Holy Spirit is praying in the will of the Father as corroborated in Ephesians. Prayer is God's means of grace to keep us in His love.

Brother Seye explains this is how we will be able to show mercy to others with the truth when they have been deceived and snatch others out of the fire as well
