In this week's episode of This is False, Mo, Ev, and Travis introduce Kit Tea and yell about the cops. This time, they killed a dog in Windsor, shot a baby in Kawartha Lakes, and the RCMP did a racism in Saskatchewan. You know, the usual.

Travis is joined this week by Windsor-based artists April Morris and Teajai Travis. April is a painter and visual artist and progenitor of The Pylon Project; Teajai is a poet, storyteller, activist and now the Executive Director of Artcite. We sat down to talk about community-facing art, decolonizing art, artivism, and the history and role of Artcite.

We’re delayed this week due to technical difficulties. The planned episode won’t be out until Monday. In the meantime, Evelyn Irish and Travis Laver went off the damn rails. We celebrated the death of Rush Limbaugh, discussed r/Neoliberal, talked about the Green Party’s insane Olympic plan, and then the centerpiece: Durham Region’s Black History Month Scavenger Hunt.

This week on the program, we welcome in Pindzer B, dear friend of the show and recipient of ODSP benefits. We talked to her about her life on ODSP and the barriers she faces trying to survive on the woefully inadequate service. That happens around the 33-minute mark and BIG content warning—discussions of suicide, drug use, drug overdoses, and living in poverty.
Before that, we talked about some lighter stuff. Well, Ev and I did anyway. We chatted about the Windsor Police Services proposed budget increase, hamburger parties (with strippers), the ineffectual NDP, and baby shower cannons.
If you’re struggling with thoughts of suicide, please call the Canadian Suicide Prevention Service at 833-456-4566.

In this, the latest episode of This Is False, Ev, Mo, and Travis talk about the following: The worm that must be hollowing out the brain of the American Liberal; Julie Payette’s shameful behaviour and whether or not there should even be a Governor General; and our saviour Rick Mercer.

In our first all-remote episode, we talked about why we hate Milton, ON, why we hate Quebec, and some other assorted things. Audio issues cut the episode short--our apologies.
