Alison Barkman has been a registered dietitian for over 10 years with experience counseling clients and as an adjunct professor of nutrition at Long Island University. She realized her clients were becoming obsessed with food, trapped in a restrict and binge cycle, and unhappy with their bodies. As a result, many were developing unhealthy relationships with food and exercise. 

Because of this Alison shifted her focus to practice as an anti-diet dietitian and completed coursework to become a certified intuitive eating counselor.
