Before the desire to go away that God never ordained can be accomplished, there must be a starting point, a fundamental basis or core to allow the enemy access to us. There must be a weakness within each of us where the enemy can attach an incentive or temptation strong enough to cause us to fall. Would the weakness in you be in reference to pride, lust, money or even hatred and unforgiveness? For each and every one it’s different. The enemy knows what will work against one will not always be successful against another. As the kids used to say years back, he knows just what buttons to push in order to pluck your nerves. He knows just what carrot to dangle before you, just what motivation will work against you in your life at that time and moment to bring about the temptation to sin. What may be a temptation or incentive for me would probably never work on you and vice versa. Nonetheless, temptations happen and depending on one’s relationship with the Father, depending on how much one will allow his flesh to make the determinations will also determine how successful that inclination and desire to submit to them will be. In other words, the more we submit to the temptations the more we will submit to sin. WAKE UP, GET UP, RISE UP BECAUSE GOD IS ABOUT TO STRIKE PART 3

If we don’t share our testimonies then we can’t give hope to others. And if our lives are not giving hope to others then we’re not giving God His glory! Proverbs 11:7 reads;  Hopes placed in mortals die with them; all the promise of their power comes to nothing. If we’re only hoping in ourselves then our hope is useless. It will come to nothing. One of the saddest things to be witnessed is to see someone die with their hopes and dreams never being fulfilled. It’s a devastating thing for someone to leave this earth with none of their dreams or desires achieved or accomplished and it means that they left this earth in total despair. I don’t remember who it was but many years ago I heard a man of God say that the richest place in the world is in the graveyard because that’s where all the unfulfilled dreams, potentials and expectations lie. That doesn’t have to be and it will not be when our hope is in Christ Jesus. We can give hope to others by sharing what God has done for us. God wants to give hope to others through us and this is why when we pray according to His word and His will, with the only motive and ultimate goal being to give Him His glory, He answers our prayers. WAKE UP! GET UP! RISE UP BECAUSE GOD IS ABOUT TO STRIKE!

The Amplified version of Romans 15:4 reads; For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope and overflow with confidence in His promises. We can’t have confidence in someone who we don’t know anything about or someone you’ve never heard of. Why have confidence and belief in someone who doesn’t keep their promises? And so it is with the testimonies that are heard through answered prayers. When we testify of the God we serve concerning the prayers we’ve prayed, the prayers that He has answered, it gives hope to others and causes them to say, I want to serve the God she serves, I want to serve the God he serves because of what their God has done for them. It causes others to not only believe but to turn to Him and receive Jesus Christ, as their Lord and Savior. As the prophet Elijah said, the God who answers by fire, that’s who is the real God. Our God answers our prayers, He answers through actions to give us testimonies that will give Him His glory. The testimonies of the past are to give hope not only to those who prayed but also to those who need the hope and encouragement to pray. The prayers that were answered in the past are to build our hope and our faith for today and encourage us even more in our prayers for tomorrow. WAKE UP, GET UP, RISE UP BECAUSE GOD IS ABOUT TO STRIKE!

There’s an expression that lightning doesn’t strike twice in the same place. People truly believe that and think that once they’ve been through one chastisement or one bad experience in life that they’re okay, at least for a while. They’re lulled into a false sense of security thinking that everything is going to be alright. However, let me tell you here and now that the statement that lightning doesn’t strike twice in the same place is just not true. In fact, according to the experts, the Empire State Building is struck at least 25 times per year. Do you really want to get struck by God 25 times a year? Believe me, God will send as many strikes as many times as necessary in order to get us up and out of where we are when we’re in sin. He will send strikes against us again and again in order for us to wake up, get up and rise up from the sin that we’re committing! God wants to set His people free from the bondage of sin which keeps them in captivity to the enemy. Jesus said in Luke 12:47-48 “The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows. 48 But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. Not knowing will not keep one from receiving punishments. As the saying goes, ignorance of the law is no excuse. One cannot stand in the courtroom and say I didn’t know that going 80 miles an hour in a school zone was against the law. It won’t matter what you didn’t know, you will have to pay that $1000 dollar ticket and more depending on the mood of the judge that day. And do you know why the judge won’t accept that excuse? Because he will tell you that there were signs, signals and notices or markers within the school zone telling and warning you not to speed. There were these indicators telling you not to go over a certain speed limit. And our Father will say the same. He will say that He sent you signs and messages from others. He sent sermons, podcasts and more than anything He will say, I sent you my word through my Son, warning you not to eat from the yeast and leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.  We can’t eat from just anyone! One year my mother made oyster gumbo for a lot of out of town guests she was having at her house. She pulled out her fine china, crystal and of course her best pots. For the gumbo she used her largest and cleanest Club pot. It was a huge pot and everyone was truly looking forward to having some of that gumbo. When the time came to eat they opened the pot and it was bubbling. No, it wasn’t a fire under the pot but it was the oysters she had put in the gumbo itself and left on top of the hot stove that had gone bad. No one could eat from that pot of gumbo. Obviously it brings to mind the story of Elisha in 2 Kings 4 when he told the prophets to prepare a stew. One of them gathered some wild herbs and put them in the pot but when they tasted it they knew that it would kill them. There’s death in the pot they exclaimed! Elisha put some flour in the pot and they were able to eat. Unfortunately, for my mother’s gumbo, there was no amount of flour that would have made it edible that day. 
It’s the same way with those who feed the body of Christ with what’s supposed to be the pure, unadulterated word of God. Unfortunately there are issues with many whom we should be able to trust but nonetheless we know that we can’t. Think about it and think hard because it’s no less when it comes to the pastors, preachers, teachers, prophets and those who lead others in their spiritual lives because they are being trusted with people’s eternal lives. Christians are not just trusting their leaders when it comes to their salvations but in the natural as well. There are too many Christians who willingly drank the proverbial Kool Aid when it came to believing what pastors have told them concerning Donald Trump. 

They are also trusting that what and all these leaders are saying will bring them into the very presence of God after death. They are trusting that the words that they have trusted in, will have brought them to a place so that when they do come into our Father’s presence they will hear Him say, “well done my good and faithful servant”. But what if those are not the words they hear and the reason they don’t hear them is because they trusted them. What if what was spoken from a pulpit by a pastor, preacher, prophet or teacher was possibly from the Bible, maybe it was scriptural, but something was added to or taken from it. Yeast and leaven has been added to the word of God simply for increase and ego. What if the words heard in the judgment are “depart from me I never knew you” and it’s because someone implicitly trusted what some prophet, preacher or teacher told them? They drank the Kool Aid and swallowed the yeast. Don’t think that it won’t or can’t happen because Jesus warned us about that very thing! We will stand and give an account for allowing ourselves to be taught things that God never said because we didn’t take the responsibility to study and seek Him for ourselves.

Although Donald Trump holds the title of president at this time it doesn’t mean that he’s the one that God has chosen to glorify his name. Remember, even as God rejected Saul he still held the title and position of king, so has God rejected Donald Trump in spite of him holding the position and title of President of the United States of America. Donald Trump, just like Saul was the choice of the people so just leave God out of this mess! The spirit of racism, hatred, bigotry, prejudice and all of those other spirits of discrimination and intolerance had been wandering in dry arid places seeking places to rest. They had been cast out of people or at least quelled and lulled into quietness for a while. Then it’s as though when Donald Trump rose up so did those spirits of racism, bigotry and all the rest rise up in others that had been quieted for all those years. Attitudes, characters, reactions and stances that people had long forgotten were awakened and stirred up beyond what has not been seen in years and years. Racism is alive and well not only in the south but all over this nation. When he said make America great again for most Black people, especially those of us who are of any real age knew what the word 'again' referred to in that slogan. To  make America great 'again' meant to bring it back to the former ways of racism and hatred that so many of our parents, siblings, friends, neighbors and those that we admired fought against. But here it is again, not just for some but for anyone, Black, white or any other race or ethnicity who doesn’t fit into certain categories.
