Welcome to another new episode of “This One Thing” with Kerri Kenyon Dern and Crystal Wright. Our verse this week centers on God's promise to provide a lasting, perfect peace to His people. Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”
Despite this chaotic world we live in and our own troubling doubts, God has given His unbreakable Word that He will provide and sustain us with His peace. Throughout all of human history, God has faithfully upheld this promise, evidenced in the prophesied and fulfilled plan of redemption found in His son, Jesus Christ. But how do we live victoriously in this promise? To answer this question, Kerri and Crystal discuss the connection Isaiah makes between receiving God's gift of peace, what we fix our thoughts on, and ultimately where we place our deepest trust. Together, they encourage each of us to wrestle honestly with our thoughts and beliefs, evaluating everything in light of God's truth. Join us as we choose to put our complete trust in the only Savior capable of providing peace, peace!

Welcome back to a new episode of “This One Thing.” This week Kerri Kenyon Dern and Crystal Wright examine the faithfulness of God proclaimed by the prophet Isaiah, and discuss the hope that comes from putting our trust in Him. Isaiah 25:9 says, “In that day they will say, ‘Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the LORD, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.’”
Trusting and waiting on the LORD is an act of faith that every follower of the Most High God must face. But how do we choose to be unwavering in our trust when everything in our world comes against the commitment we have made to wait and hope in God's Salvation? Isaiah reminds us that our current confidence in the faithfulness of God comes through remembering what he has done in the past and looking ahead to the glorious future awaiting us. God has not failed us in the past, He will not abandon us in the present, and He has a perfect plan for our future. Kerri and Crystal share how they chose to apply this truth in their lives as they face suffering and spiritual needs the world has no answer for. Because of God's perfect faithfulness, they invite you to put your hopeful trust in the only Savior who will never disappoint!

Thank you for joining us for another episode of "This One Thing" where weekly we focus on the truth of one Scripture and how it applies to our lives. This week Kerri Kenyon Dern and Melina Puente encourage each listener to let go of the past in order to pursue God's call on their lives. Philippians 3:14 says, "I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us."
What do you find yourself striving and reaching for each day? What characterizes the pursuits of your life? In Philippians, Paul clearly defines the only satisfying answer to these questions: to be in the presence of Jesus. Although we are not promised a life protected from suffering, Jesus is worth laying aside every weight and distraction that hinders us from pursuing Him. In order to run this race, Kerri and Melina encourage listeners to let go of the condemnation of the past and fully receive the forgiveness that is given us through Christ. It is then we are freed to experience more of God's love and presence each day. We pray that as you become unfettered from the past, you are able to press on towards the incomparable and eternal prize of knowing Jesus Christ!

Thank you for joining Unfettered Ministries for episode 40 of "This One Thing". This week Kerri Kenyon Dern and Melina Puente discuss what it means to authentically reflect the mind and attitude of Christ in our relationships with one another. Philippians 2:3 states, "Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves."
Don't be selfish, be humble! Paul penned these straightforward words as he sat in a prison cell, challenging all followers of Jesus to take a deep look at how we are living out our faith. This verse calls us to move beyond talking about the love of Christ into whole-heartedly living out His love through humble submission and service to others. This kind of selflessness is one of the truest markers of knowing Christ and requires ongoing commitment and time. Kerri and Melina share encouraging personal examples of how God has developed Christlike love for others in their lives as they learned humility and obedience. Because of the refining work of the Holy Spirit, we all have been given the ability to follow Christ's humble example and operate in selfless love to everyone He brings into our lives!
