Today, for the final episode of This Place, we've come back to a place I happen to know very well. We meet under the pillared promenade that overlooks the golden sweep of Barry Island's famous beach; but on this sunny autumn evening, Taylor Edmonds is taking us to the lesser-known old harbour, just over the hill. Here, to the perfect soundtrack of the tide rolling in for tea-time, we reminisce about the places that become anchors in time: how we return to them as different people, at different stages of life.
Taylor Edmonds is a writer, poet and creative facilitator from Barry. She is the founder of Writing for Joy, and is currently developing her debut YA novel, highly commended in Faber's FAB Prize. Her stage debut, Demand the Impossible, will be showing in October 2025
