This book presents the particular inceptions during all phases listed below for gaining the success of Practicable Professional Architecture Practice (PPaP) for the qualified junior and practicing architects to lead toward their fruitful and realistic practice.
The following phases are listed and described as the conceptions and applications of the knowledge, skills, and techniques to produce a broad range of activities to control the successful projects:
Feasibility studies: assignments to constitute designing, and building the project on the property;
Clients’ demand as ‘Requests for Proposal’ (RFP): to gain and review architects’ selections;
Schematic design: integrating a preliminary design phase and advanced construction process;
Design development phase: to advance the reality of the planning aspects and confirming construction process;
Interior Design: to process colors and shapes, furniture design and clients’ acceptance, feelings and emotions;
Construction document phase: is a crucial step leading towards building construction, site supervision and the final building approvals;
Bidding process: to discuss, advocate and finalize the contractors’ building process and construction costs.; and,
Site supervision: to release the final successful construction details and the completion process.
As an author, Kalavati Somvanshi, FAIA, AIA, RA, B. Arch. Degree (with first class and design excellence award), G.D.Arch., AAJJA: (Her maiden name was: Kala Parab who graduated in 1963 from Sir JJ College of Architecture in Bombay (Mumbai), India and achieved B. Arch and G. D. Arch degrees). Kala worked with two architectural firms till 1966 in Bombay. In her career spanning 47 years, Kala has mainly worked in various countries, gaining experience in architecture and interior design, with extensive experience in the US. Having worked here in the USA for 43 years, of which 34 years were spent working in New York. Kala is a registered architect, RA-NY, FAIA as has been elected to the College of Fellows, a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and a life member of the Alumni Association of Sir JJ College of Architecture (AAJJA).
