Right around Thanksgiving last year I spoke again with my buddy Jonah Andrist. The dumb recording program I use always manages to screw up the audio files, so it took me a hot minute to find the time to splice this one together. It was interesting going back a few months in time. Apart from the Coronavirus panic, everything seems to be pretty much the same.
Jonah Andrist is an American writer who’s based in Pocatello, Idaho. He’s also the host of the podcast “Western Thought”, and the author of the recently released novel/audiobook “The Town Of Books”.
We had a chat about the reality of hometown reunions, why the 20th century was probably an anomaly in terms of artists getting stinking rich, and the definition of neoliberalism. The audiobook version of The Town Of Books is now available on Amazon and Audiobooks.com
