From 1978 to 1996, in the wilds of Vernon Township New Jersey, there existed a place called Action Park.
But, unlike most theme parks, this place’s popularity went hand-in-hand with a reputation for poorly designed rides, under-trained and under-aged staff, intoxicated guests and staff, and a consequently poor safety record that result in multiple deaths and more personal injuries that one can ever imagine!

And while Action Park’s reputation was known far and wide throughout the upper east coast, the rest of the world is learning about it through director Seth Porges’ documentary, “Class Action Park” now on HBOMax!!

We talked to Seth this morning, which led to many stories about our own misspent youths….
