In this episode, I go over the 5 stages of grief: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance. I highlight that not only is grief universal, but it is experienced by everyone in different ways. Some may go through all 5 stages, while others experience less, more, or hop from one stage to the next in no particular order. This episode is a great listen if you are going through a tough time or want to be able to support someone who is.

Eva Strait shares her story of struggling with mental health and staying at a behavioral facility. We discuss self harm, trauma blocking, coping mechanisms, medication, and support groups. O’Brian joins me on the podcast and drops some serious wisdom on how he became involved in politics in his community and how you can too! We talked about what he heard as a kid about politics, why teen involvement in politics is important, and how we are all responsible for creating a better future. He shared some struggles he’s faced as a result of being so outspoken, and how to handle backlash when you receive it. Overall, this episode is a fun conversation that is very mind opening!

Boundaries are important! It is especially necessary amidst the holiday season to know your limits and to respect them. In this episode I go over to 6 types of boundaries (material, physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and sexual), examples of each, and how to set and maintain them.

Nothing is off-topic in this episode! Kaili is back with me to talk about body hair, from the history of corporations pushing shaving to how we began shaving our legs. We even discuss pubic hair, our personal shaving choices, and the stigma around shaving/not shaving. At the end of the day, our takeaway is that the decision to shave (or not) is your choice and you should do what makes you happy!

We discuss comparing yourself to others, relying on validation, forcing change vs. acceptance, and how all of these tie in to your confidence.

In this episode, Thomas and I take a deep dive into the importance of a good attitude and the power that comes with controlling your own mind. We talk about things like time management, setting small goals, and eradicating bad influences.
