  • Navigating Relationships With People Who Play The Victim

We've likely all come across people who play the victim, whether they are coworkers, friends, relatives or maybe even ourselves. People who portray themselves as victims manipulate to get a desired outcome, specifically, to get attention or get some sort of gain from being viewed in this way. Maybe they view the world as being against them to avoid taking responsibility for their own actions. Whatever the case, navigating how to handle relationships with these people can be difficult, so in this episode we suggest some ways that you can go about it. Please note that we are not talking about people who are victims of trauma or tragic events- that is different than living your life with a victim mindset that the world is against you.

  • Shifting Our View of Self Care

In this episode we decided to take a deep dive into the topic of self care. It can be easy to get caught up in the commercialization of self care and you probably see it everywhere: "Buy this makeup #selfcare", "Treat yo self", "Time for some retail therapy"! We decided to take a step back from that to discuss how self care really can be doing the things in life that are hard for us. This helps us create a life we don't need to escape from by buying or engaging in activities that help us cope for just a short period of time. We want our self care to help us level up so we can live our best lives! We hope you enjoy this discussion and that you hear some things that you can apply to your own life!
