    On this episode we talk with Cristi Dame, a licensed professional counselor, about how parents can connect with their children through play. Cristi talks with us about some of the challenges parents face when it comes to playing with their children and shares tips on what parents can do to interact with their children during play in a way that can strengthen the relationship. She shares how to conduct special play sessions that can foster a deeper relationship between parents and their children.     In KJ's home growing up, she was the only child. The favorite-unless you are including the cats. As a result of being the only kid around, she has a close relationship with both of her parents. In this episode, KJ shares what it was like growing up as an only child in a home with a sick parent. KJ's dad was diagnosed with MS when she was a young girl, and it shaped her family in many ways. This pushed KJ to grow in new ways and develop coping skills that weren't always healthy. She shares how she is now moving towards connection as a way of healing.
