On Episode 20, we discussed the story of Sam, a transgender student at Byron Center High School. Much to our surprise, she reached out to us after hearing our show.

In our e-mail conversations, Sam had this to say:

"If I had just heard the segment about trans people, I might have been upset. But hearing the whole episode really helped to paint context and help me realize that you guys are not looking to my political statements or anything, you're truly just having an honest conversation which is incredible and very important in this polarized time so I just want to thank both of you for doing this podcast."

We kick off episode 21 by sharing about our failures and victories over the last couple of weeks, along with a recap of our appearance on the Eric Zane Show Podcast. Then, we move into a fun segment about millennials, in which we did our best to give this generation the most fair and balanced treatment. 

Our news segment was broken into 3 categories - good, bad, and ugly. That ugly story was a doozy. You'll have to listen for yourself!

We had some slight difference in opinion about a church that offers "heavy metal" services and whether or not it was appropriate to offer noon services to those who may have had too much to drink the night before.

Happy New Year! I hope you all are enjoying the holidays with friends and family. I(Jason) had an amazing Christmas and Ben and I are excited for 2019.

We recorded this episode a few weeks ago but are just releasing it now. This episode doesn't follow our normal format, but a lighthearted but meaningful conversation about God, the church, and dealing with the hurts/pains/frustrations with the church.
