Three educators in Florida's Broward County have recently died in 24 hours, with causes of death being tied to covid. All the educators were under 50, all unvaccinated and all worked with kids under 12 years of age. In Mississippi, three schools have closed after a covid breakout.

Child covid cases surge 675 percent from July to August. According to a report, more than 10,000 students and staff are exposed and currently in quarantine across 14 states. 

U.S. troops are on their way to Afghanistan to help evacuate personnel, after the Taliban now controls half of the provincial capitals. The White House has been caught off guard by the speed of the Taliban's advance as more cities fall. According to a poll, 62 percent of Americans approve of the troops withdrawal decision.
